Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios.

Dark Elves remind me of Cybermen, dont like that they're using spaceships, it just doesn't mesh with Thor's world imo, keep that stuff in Guardians of The Galaxy.

Does seem different. Magic vs Technology? Or are those magic guns? Why would Malekith need a gun? I can't wait to find out!

Looking at these images and the trailer, Thor: TDW and MOS do seem to have similar elements being that both the main heroes are wearing a red cape (obviously), Krypton and Asgard seem to have that similar gritty look to it as well as some of the armour which has that sort of organic look to it that the kryptonians wear. Even both films look to have similar cinematography in the earth scenes being that having an earthy, natural, gritty visual style.

I hope that both of these films don't feel similar and hope that each film has some elements that differ from each other. Even though personally, I think MOS is going to be the better film :)

Superman > Thor.

Be real Kal would mop the floor with the Odinson. Thor can barely take on Hulk.

Hulk >=< Supes.

@Kneel

You're insane. Thor would curbstomp Supes. Thor would have Mjolnir absorb Supes' sun radiation, and then pulverize him to death. Thor has Supes beat in every category 'cept for speed, but Mjolnir is just as fast or even faster than Superman.

And Superman could barely beat a green rock. Your point.

You guys are way off. Supes would have thor on his ass before Thor see's it. Shoes has bested Hulk in the crossovers and Thor can't handle hulk

I've got source material in my corner.

Supes* not shoes lol
BlackPhillip
BlackPhillip - 6/5/2013, 7:22 PM
Thor would see Supes coming since Thor has micro-reaction speed. And besides, we both know that Supes would not try to use speedblitz to beat Thor. He barely does that in comics to being with.

One shot of God-blast, and Supes will be crying for Ma Kent.

Looks like a bunch of Thor fanboys. My opinion isn't biased because I like them both bit Supes is the obvious victor. How can somebody who has best Hulk who Thor has lost to multiple times lose?

I'm not one for arguments so I guess I'll agree to disagree mates. Both great characters but I stand by my opinion.

I will say that Thor has the better book currently lol

In the their last two fights, Thor killed Hulk with one arm (The Reigning), and knocked out Hulk into space (Fear Itself).

Crossovers don't count. In that case, Wolverine can beat Lobo, and Batman can hurt the Hulk by striking his ears with his bare hands.

@Kneel

Thor has once broke the Midgard Serpent's grip on earth, and then lift it afterwards. According to many, the Midgard Serpent weighs about the same as the earth.

Also, when Thor enters into "Warrior's Madness" mode, his strength is increased ten fold.

Doesn't have to be reshoots, could be pickups, which is completely common during the editing process.

Jesus, are you guys really getting into a "who would win if this hero fought that hero" argument? Ah Christ.

I remember at the first office job I ever had, when the IT guy figured out I was a comic nerd, he'd come by and ask me stuff like, "Who do you think would win...", and I just...who cares? You like that guy? Cool, go watch it. Like the other guy? Awesome, watch that instead. I'll see both.
