The troubled production of Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger was finally been green lit with a new budget. Now, According to Deadline, The Lone Ranger will be hitting theaters on May 31, 2013.

Reports Deadline:

Disney has confirmed that the Gore Verbinski-directed Johnny Depp-starrer The Lone Ranger has come back on track, with the studio setting the film for a May 31, 2013 release

The Lone Ranger news is also relevant because Disney has decided to move the release date of Thor 2 back to a Novermber 15, 2013 from its original July 13, 2013 release.

Again From Deadline:

Disney has also moved Thor 2 from its July 13, 2013 and back to November 15, 2013, and also dated Phineas And Ferb to open July 26, 2013.

With The Lone Ranger finally getting the budget Disney wanted it seems as if they are pushing hard to get the film made as soon as possible, even if that means they have push back the much anticipated Thor sequel.
