THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Poster Gets A Cool Tagline...And Is Possibly Marvel Studios' Best One-Sheet Yet!

Marvel Studios has followed that amazing first Thor: Love and Thunder trailer with a badass poster that plays on the Rock 'N Roll vibe of Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok sequel. Check it out right here...

The teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder didn't disappoint, and whether it was our first look at Russell Crowe's Zeus, Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor, or the God of Thunder's classic comic book costume, it's clear all the stops are being pulled out for this blockbuster. Now, that amazing sneak peek has been followed by a poster that we'd argue is among Marvel Studios' finest efforts.

Clearly inspired by everything from Rock 'N Roll album covers to Yor, The Hunter From The Future (look it up), it's a striking piece of imagery that has us even more excited for this adventure.

This poster features Thor rocking his Guardians of the Galaxy attire, though we're sure future trailers and promo material will put the spotlight both on that blue and gold armour and Jane Foster's Thor. Once Doctor Strange in the Multiverse is Madness is released, we're bound to see more, anyway.

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Sounds like an electrifying ride, eh?

Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.

The poster looks like it'd sit in the oldest Son's room in F is for Family. That is a good thing! 👍 👍

DS2 should have come out in March. Cuz Marvel just straight up refusing to promote Thor until DS2 releases. That teaser was probably the most vanila in marvel history. They just don't Thor to steal the thunder from Doctor Strange.

Also... is it just me, or does it kinda look like he's standing on Groot?

It’s gonna be a good summer. Moon Knight already kicked things off for me but strange 2, dudes I haven’t checked on something in a while. The mcu’s worldwide total and average. I’m sure 3 movies under 500 mill hurt a little, just as the MCU was closing in on a billion per film, but along came a almost 1.9 bill film. From that point forward it’s sequels furthering the MCU narrative which is what people really wanna see. I won’t dare call Antman 3’s final BO, but I think it’ll pass 700. That’s what I thought about all 3 post pandemic films but this is the real post pandemic. For now, what do I know

@TheWalkingCuban - Ant-Man 2 didnt reach $700M...movies are still struggling because of the pandemic, China is out, I doubt we are seeing any studio pushing pre-pandemic numbers.

Dr Strange 2 will be the first REAL test.

@TheHumanSpider2 - 1 passed 500, 2 passed 600, not comparing him iron man LOL that 3quel doubled the sequel. But I think 700 is attainable. Having said that, I don’t think it has the hype Strange does, not just a sequel but kind of a legacy film. That’s how NWH felt, it’s how Thor 4 feels, gotg 3 may too idk yet. Don’t know bout black Panther either we’ll see. Lot of negativity about it bout what about casual viewers? They put part 1 through the roof.

Anyway most of those are billion plus in my estimation obviously NWH already is, def not Antman. Strange? I think easy billion. I thought the same for the Batman. This one is basically an NWH spinoff or sequel. A billion easy

@TheWalkingCuban - China is pretty much out of the equation at this point, and pandemic or not, a lot of people already decided that going to a movie theather is not worthy anymore (streaming service + inflation).

We'll see, I think Dr Strange 2 and Thor 4 might make $1B, but we are talking about movies that would have easily made over that during the pre-pandemic times...
Again, no China, war, inflation, people already willing to wait 2 extra months to see movies at home...we'll see.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - Thankfully! Though it's possible the main poster may end up being a floating head collection anyway (teaser posters tend to be more creative, design-wise)

Not too crazy about the trailer (which is visually good ut storywise doesn't indicate a film I'd be much hyped about), but this poster is a thing of beauty. You can feel the 80's/Frazzetta energy coming off of it
