'THE HULK' Rumored To Smash Into THOR: RAGNAROK

New and intriguing Thor: Ragnarok details, or rumors, have surfaced and they indicate a totally unexpected direction for Chris Hemsworth's third solo outing as Marvel's God of Thunder with Mark Ruffalo's Incredible Hulk said to be appearing. Check it out after the jump!

Given Avengers: Age of Ultron left the Hulk's whereabouts up in the air (or perhaps somewhere in the ocean), fans have been theorizing when and where we will see Mark Ruffalo's Jade Giant again, if at all, before his inevitable return in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. Persistent rumors and speculation that Bruce Banner's angry alter-ego would show up Planet Hulk-style in 2017's Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 have been dismissed, but we may now know what Marvel's planning.

According to Joblo, whose track record has been pretty reliable as of late, Mark Ruffalo will be joining Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleson, and Jaimie Alexander in Thor: Ragnarok which will have the God of Thunder teaming up with the Incredible Hulk against what's considered to be the Norse apocalypse. Furthermore, it's said the threequel will feature a "distant planet that's not Asgard nor Earth," which is probably just one of the other Nine realms we have yet to see on the big-screen. There's no word on how much we'll see Bruce Banner versus the other guy, but Joblo reassures that "he's absolutely part of the supporting cast and will feature prominently." What do YOU think?

UPDATE: It's likely a coincidence, but Marvel's official Twitter account just tweeted the following:

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, with Anthony Hopkins (and Mark Ruffalo?), Thor: Ragnarok is currently being scripted by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle with Taika Waititi set to direct, and is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3, 2017.

I can't wait, I just watched Boy by Taika Waititi, and there were some hulk references and one comic book reference and considering he was in Green Lantern in a supporting role, I hope it means he is a comic book fan, all the best MCU films have come from the Marvel diehards: James, Whedon, Russo's, Peyton, and upcoming with Scott for Strange which is sounding amazing. Also, I think the writing will be able to flesh out the Hulk persona and provide him with some dialogue, and the dynamic between him and Thor seems like it would be really cool, I'm absolutely adoring this news, but if this is the case then the likelihood of Beta Ray Bill showing up just reduced significantly, so now I want a Thor 4 focusing on Enchantress and Executioner and Bill. Though my preference would be Surtur to be shelved for Thor 4 because in Ragnarok he is really only the muscle of the story, so why don't they just use Thanos in his place considering he is just a cameo machine up until Infinity wars, and we can save Surtur for a grander first appearance in Thor 4, I don't know, just my thoughts.

I'm confused. Is Ragnarok the title of the Incredible Hulk's sequel?

the other planet will be one of the 9 worlds. Either the Fire one Surtur is from or Hel.

If it's true, then I bet Marvel just doesn't wanna create BetaReyBill and just make Hulk take his place.

HEL NO! The last time Yost and Kyle wrote Thor and Hulk (Hulk VS), Thor got beat down twice. In the same movie, Wolverine and Hulk ends in a stalemate.

Ragnarok should be Thor, Lady Sif, Odin, Tyr, Balder, Heimdall, and the Warriors Three battling Loki, Hela, Fenrir, and Jormungand. [frick] Hulk, [frick] Thanos, and [frick] the macguffin stones!

batz11 - YES! That's what Thor series needs, to embrace the fantasy aspect of Thors world and go ham on it! F the science aspect that Marvel Studios has been using for Thor.

So Hulk is brought to Asgard by whom thor? Loki@Enchantress? After the fighting is over Hulk ends up stuck on some other planet. He is gone for infinity war 1 and the guardians will find him and bring back to while we get a brief look at a planet Hulk scenario when they find him. Something like that perhaps?
