@Spideyboy91- unfortunately, ur rite mate, it looked like they somehow wanted to introduce the character for THE AVENGERS.
1. Thor becoming kind hearted in just days
2. the chemistry between thor and jane was poor.(much like bruce and rachel in batman begins)
3.there should have been a final fight scene (instead of some childish hand to hand combat and breaking the bridge)
4.No realism as stated by producers

and many things which are meaningless

EXACLY!!!!^^
He turned from a arrogant asshole,into a little gay boy in about 2 days just because of a woman,the beginning looked promising for the rest of the film,but the middle bit he was just wandering around like an idiot not knowin what to do until his buddies came down to earth,you have all over hyped this film big style,to much preparing for the avengers instead of focusin on just thors mythology,it didnt quiet stand on its own like the first iron man did without the help of a preperation for the avengers

@spideyboy: Although i really dont want to admit it, i have to agree with you. Althought it was a good Marvel film in my opinion, i left the theater a bit disappointed. I was expecting an epic masterpiece thay would blow all CBMs out of the water, including TDK. I really liked Thor, but It didnt really match my expectations. Some lines were cheesy, and the battle with the Destroyer was a bit anticlamatic. But fear not, Thor fans, these flaws do not make the film bad, it will do well. Its Certified Fresh on RT. So our opinions shouldnt matter to you. So dont start an immature rant criticizing spideyboy for his opinion. It would be a horrible world to live in if everyone shared the same opinion on everything

@Spideyboy91 and Theamazingbatman

Thor's conversion happened when Loki told him that his father died because of his actions. It was then he realized the error of his ways. Jane, Dr. Selvig, and Darcy were only a part of his transformation.

@ELgUaSoN- LMFAO who asked for a 4 hour movie? They could have just said like "one year later" and it would have made sense.

All I have to say is your name is spideyboy. It's hard to take anything you say with a grain of salt when your name is spideyboy. I will leave it at that.

@Theamazingbatman

So what? The time it takes is completely irrelevant to the magnitude of a person's change. Tony Stark changed quickly when he discovered that his enemies were using his weapons. Peter Parker's transformation happened as soon as his Uncle Ben died from his irresponsibility. As long as the change is believable to the audience, then it works. Personally, I was sold by the chemistry between Thor and his friends as well as the emotion conveyed when Loki told him his father died.

P.S.

"They could have just said like 'one year later' and it would have made sense."

Asking the audience to just ignore an entire year's worth of transformation is such a stupid, stupid idea...

You don't even know what my name means, Spideyboy. Let me say Spider-man 3 was a real gem. That might have been the worst pile of trash movie I have ever seen. Nobody cry's more in the marvel universe then Spider-man. Maybe Silver Surfer or The Thing that's about it.
ManofSteel23
ManofSteel23 - 5/5/2011, 6:12 PM
indorraptor@,tony stark was pissed that they had his weapons,he didnt change,he just wanted to get the [frick] out of there so built that suit,which must of taken days,and he just didnt like the fact that it was his weapons they where killing civillians with,and peter parker...his [frick]ing uncle died,I think anyone would change from that,Loki only guilt tripped him into thinking it was his fault his father died,then he thought [frick] it I cant go back now,then he buddies came down and told him he was alive,he just wanted to kick lokis ass,thats understandable,but hes a GOD for crying out loud he should despise mortals,yet it took him like a day to fall in love with one

The first Spider-man one sucked too. I never realized that spider-man fought Power Rangers in the comics. The Green Goblin from the first Spidey was awful. Wow, name calling now!!!! Huh!!!!!!! Enjoy your new Amazing Spider-man with his cod-piece.

Theamazingbatman
Theamazingbatman - 5/5/2011, 6:24 PM
@indoraptor12- It must make taken weeks for Tony Stark to build the machine and escape from the place (weeks should be enough to change a human). Peter parker was already an emotional fool before his uncle died. Thor wasn't even crying when his father "died". AND i was talking of chemistry between thor and JANE.
SmokinIndo
SmokinIndo - 5/5/2011, 6:24 PM
@Spiderboy91

Ummm...I suggest that you go watch Iron Man again. His change was the central theme in the story. As for Thor, he was still under the impression that his father had died from his recklessness. (which is the same as Spider-Man's change.) The fact you saw Thor and Iron Man and only assumed that they were "pissed-off" means that you really have no right to be reviewing movies.

@Theamazingbatman

I can tell you're trying hard. Spider-Man's lesson in responsibility was the direct result of his Uncle's death. That's what caused his change from a selfish prick to a sacrificing hero. His being an "emotional fool" is completely irrelevant. As for Tony Stark, the immediate change was evident in his entire conversation with Yinsen, not just after he got back from Afganistan.

P.S. Thor was crying. It was a very emotional moment. I suggest you watch the movie again because you were obviously sleep-deprived.

Keep in mind guys that atleast 20 minutes worth of footage was cut from the film. Perhaps when Thor is released on DVD, we will get to see an extended edition. If not, then we will at least get to have a look at the deleted scenes.

I remember watching The Incredible Hulk's deleted scenes and thinking that a lot of it should of remained in the film as there was some pretty interesting character development, especially for General Thunderbolt.

@Superman17 how wrong you are about Spideyboy91. He is the one being immature, just look at his post's on this clip alone.

And for the record he stated the film was terrible as a fact, not his opinion. If he had backed it up with why he thought it was terrible then okay.

Fact of the matter is, his comments are inflammatory...

Cap i will watch in a theater.

Great point @AlexLaChiusa about the extra footage. Daredevil was greatly criticized but when the director's cut was released people felt it was the version that should have been released.

Thor in my opinion is very good, but if Ken want's to release a director's cut I won't be mad :)
