Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. It opens in theaters November 8, 2013.

This wasn't the thing at the Apple Store was it, thought that just had Taylor, Hiddleston & Feige.

I would have so been there knowing Kat Dennings was there!

I wonder why he’s such an angry elf. Did he want to make some cookies and they all locked him out of the tree? XD

GREAT CAST, CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE.

Based on what chris said it doesn't look like Loki is going to have a big part of the rest of the MCU

I wouldn't say that. Once Thanos comes into play Loki will somehow be involved. Remember what the other told Loki?

"You will have your war, Asgardian. If you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can't find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain."

^One of the most forgotten things said from The Avengers.

The Other clearly stated that if Loki fails (which he did), Thanos will come after him.

Getting the feeling that a lot of good scenes were cut from this film..

Oh yeah guys. A lot of people who seen the movie confirmed that the movie is around 112 minutes. But they also said that the movie doesn't feel too short or too long and it's just right.

@MrCbm true true. Probably just won't have as big of a part of the MCU I would guess. I mean he has been a villain for 3 movies now. Clearly the greatest villain (except heaths joker) of any CBM. I just have a feeling we will be seeing less of him. sadly

I would love at the start of Avengers 3 to see thanos and loki meet up, and thanos just kill him in little to no time at all. Just to say that thanos is unstoppable.

Yeah. It is kinda sad we might not see a lot of Loki. In a way I've never seen Loki as a villain. Just a guy who's following the wrong path.
GinjaNinja
GinjaNinja - 10/20/2013, 8:25 PM
Agreed. But with so many good villains still out there, expecially for thor. I am ready for some new stuff. Surtur, Enchantress. And for avengers. Kang, Korvac ect.

its Bullsh!t that they cut the bor scene and malekiths origin..... and alan taylor made a point that it will definately be on the blu ray, i dont get the reasoning behind it.... kevin fiege you owe your fans that much after the blunder that was iron man 3.... i do believe there was a problem between them over the final cut... hopefully we get that 25 extra min on bluray or a DIRECTORS CUT....

id rather see surtur kill loki rather then thanos....

@genesis.... where did you hear they cut the bor and malekith scene???? I thought I just read an article confirming the actor chosen and that we'll see it.

So this press conference confirms that Thor: TDW will indeed be a shorter film - which baffles me considering that many times they mention how epic, grand-scale, and huge this movie is.

Exactly. He shoots [frick]ing ice and fire and can raise the dead. That'll transfer to screen well -_-
The story was top notch. My only gripe was one too many jokes

Ace101 - 10/21/2013, 2:54 AM
@MrCBM56 i think thanos in time will approach loki once more and give him his just desserts bu he wont be coming after him in this movie. From the the tie in comics the invasion of the 'nine' realms (aside from muspelheim and Hel, you gotta be fuked in the head to invade those 2, even though Thor did lead a massive incursion into hel one time in the comics and came out with his face fukd up, such an epic story) began before the events of the avengers.

@MrCBM

That line from The Other was sick as hell. I feel like if they cut the music and other sound effects the delivery would have sounded amazing. Maybe they'll do that in like a flashback for Loki in Avengers 3.
