intruder yes the 3rd film of a trilogy usually sucks but the 1st 2 sucked so maybe it worked in reverse lol

Knew it was going to be good and blow Revenge out of the water, but I'll save my true opinions for after I've seen the movie.

Yeah I'm shocked that they're this good too. I was expecting it to be better than ROTF, but not this overwhelming.
@RedRobin Half of it was shot in 3D.

The first sucked too, but I had a feeling about the third one which I hadn't felt with the previous two. This film even looks better visually. The other films had this sort of yellowish tint to them that I always hated, especially Revenge. There are a lot of things they could have done to screw this movie up, but it seems like they didn't!

is honestly suprised that freaking TRANSFORMERS might *and most likely will* be better than Green lantern. Never saw that coming

Well, lets see Thor had positive at first then got mixed.
So far Green lantern got horrible at first, now is getting mixed.
First Class positive then mixed
Transformers positive- i have a feeling it isnt gonna be as great, BUT i did like the first and i think the third does look promising. Ill just see for myself.

I'm pretty sure these are all specially selected quotes for the posters & DVDs.
And it's mostly about the 3D & How big it is. We knew it was gonna be big! The question is.... is it good?
These one sentence 'reviews' don't answer that.
GrimeKid
GrimeKid - 6/24/2011, 2:10 PM
I just found out that Transformers: DOTM hasn't even been screened for the press yet!
The press were shown 10 Mins of "3D action sequences" not the whole movie.(Acording to the people on the IGN UK Podcast, which came out today)
And the guy on there said it looked SHIT. In his words: "The same old crap".

So these reactions, rather than saying how good it is, are only saying how good it looks...... to SOME people

So "mind-blowing" means "headache-inducing" now? You'd have to pay me to watch this clusterf*uck in 3D.

PaulRom - 6/24/2011, 3:26 PM
@GrimeKid You do know that the world premiere took place last night, right? So I'm sure a lot of critics got to see it.

Well, don't jump to the conclusion that these are critics. Some might be, but many are 'entertainment reporters'. Their every report is about how exciting whatever they are covering happens to be.
MikeZ
MikeZ - 6/24/2011, 7:47 PM
Ugh, those reviews sound so phoney. I mean, c'mon. A majority of them mention the 3D aspect. And I didn't see anything in trailers or TV spots that looked mind-blowing if I put 3D glasses on. I'm with GrimeKid, you can't judge a book by its cover.

I just found out that Transformers: DOTM hasn't even been screened for the press yet!

Welcome to now, kiddo.

"Entertainment reporter" ranks somewhere between pimp and defense attorney on the professional shame scale.
CapFan79
CapFan79 - 6/25/2011, 5:50 AM
Local TV critics honestly give crap reviews. they are not as harsh as true critics who actually write articles but thaey are probably more in step with the general audience. Those positive GL reviews in the commercials came from similar TV reporters.

I didn't expect it to be a critical hit but if it's at 50% or so at rotten tomatoes then it's at least as good or better than the 1st.
