I just wish they'd use the Transformers: Prime design for Megatron.

His 80's look is dogshit, his War for Cybertron look is too effeminate and his movie design looks like a pile of industrial waste.

Is this tied on with Fall of Cybertron??

So this is a standalone game meant to coincide with the movie's release and is similar in style to War and Fall of Cybertron, but not related to either titles?

[C]hit game. Look how weak that trailer is. It tells us NOTHING about the plot (there probably isn't one, just like the movies). Megatron still doesn't look like 80's Megatron, which was the point of this series. This series was made for the G1 fans, not the ADHADDD new generation who can't sit still for 5 seconds.

Furthermore, anyone who says the below picture looks like dogshit and prefer's Transformers: Prime Megatron has ZERO credibility:

This game is the sequel to Fall of Cyberton and the link to to the 1st Transfomers movie. It is gonna be like a parallel world game. You will play both versions of all the characters. Sometimes you will play Fall of Cybertron Transformers and sometimes you will play the Michael Bay Transformers. You can see how it will be in the 2 min trailer. This isn't the game trailer, it's a character spotlight with gameplay,

I'm so confused.

War For Cybertron was ace, Fall of Cybertron was - and I get that this is preference but - slightly less ace. Both developed by High Moon.

New game gets announced and presented as a movie tie-in - developed by Edge of Reality. Now this trailer shows WFC/FOC style Megatron?!?!

So.... uhm. Is this like the Arkham Origins/b-team thing while High Moon work on a next gen follow-up to FOC? There's no way High Moon is gonna jump out of the bushes and be ready to deliver a movie tie in game in time for Age of Extinction.

@Jimdlux: Oh :O

Wait... They're connecting the High Moon games to the Bay movies? That makes no sense.. NOTHING lines up in terms of back story. :O

It's not an Age of Extinction tie in, it's a tie in for the 1st movie. They were working on this game for awhile.

Look at the trailer I just posted...it shows both sides. And yes it links. The High Moon game shows how Bumblebee was damaged and could not talk in the 1st movie.

Well, it has movie Grimlock in it, so I'm assuming it's developed with the new movie in mind.

I guess that means that this is indeed the Arkham Origins "faux" sequel to WFC/FOC.

Hopefully High Moon have been working on a next gen game since Fall of Cybertron.

From Wikipedia:

"Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be a crossover with the Transformers film series and the video game series, consisting of Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.[4] The story will take place before the Ark is launched in the Aligned continuity, while it also occurs simultaneously with the events of Age of Extinction and its aftermath."

A crossover, that makes more sense.

Annnd from Polygon:

"Rise of the Dark Spark will bring together the world of Bay's films and the Cybertron universe, with more than 40 different playable characters across both universes."

Well, there are millennium between Fall of Cybertron and the 1st Transformers movie. I hope I am not ruining anything in the movie when I say the Dinobots where sent to Earth and were found in China. They arrived during the Jurassic era and got buried.

Well, there's a huge difference between a crossover and a prequel. None of the origin story stuff in the games lines up with the movie references backwards. The games very explicitly take material from G1 and reworks it.

Played war for Cybertron, Great game, although i felt the campaign was too short.

Anyway, I like Transformers: Prime Megatron design.

Im not saying the old ones are bad, im just saying they look boxy.

Those Transformers games are pretty addictive and amazing too. BUT ...I do have to complain about the graphics...I know this may be a beta stage but still, those graphics look like every other game in the series and Cybertron looks just empty and flat. Other than that, the game will probably still be fun to play so no complaints there.

@Jimdlux, the WFC and FOC universe is in continuity with Prime, not the Bayverse. There is already canonical prelude material for the films with the comics.
