New TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION Plot Details

Hasbro senior vice president of marketing, Eric Nyman, took to the stage today at the company's investor day. There, footage of Transformers: Age Of Extinction was shown, but only investors got a peek. But we did get a new vague description of the plot.

Hasbro's Investor Day 2013 took place today, and the company treated those in attendance to the first sneak peek of Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Ultron Extinction. Of course, no description of that footage has found it's way online yet, but we'll keep you updated on that. So, what do we have. Well, their marketing guru, Eric Nyman, provided a brief, vague description of the plot, which you can read below. We also get our first look at merchandise for the film, the Kre-O line, which you can also see below. Lastly, a video game is being created and will hit store shelves by 2014.

"In 2014 our great entertainment story continues" said Eric Nyman. "We deliver a full new Transformers story with the release of Transformers 4…. 65 Million Years In The Making. You saw some of the footage this morning. Our great Autobot Heroes team up with... (he didn’t tell who) and defeat new villains and save the earth."

Starring in "Transformers 4" is Jack Reynor in the starring role of a race car driver. The talented and beautiful Nicola Peltz has been cast in the female lead role of Reynor's girlfriend. Mark Wahlberg has signed on to play Nicola's father Flynn Vincent. Sophia Myles will play a major role as a scientist. Peter Cullen returns as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Glenn Morshower reprises his role as General Morshower. Kelsey Grammer was recently cast as the lead villain named "Harold Attinger". Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay will return to direct his fourth installment of the film series from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger.


TRANSFORMERS 4 will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014!

Don't you just mean by new villains they'll be fighting a resurrected Megatron for the millionth time? Oh wait, this isn't Megatron, guys. It's Galvatron.

Bay did say that the 4th film would leave room for more films so regardless who pics it up after 4 will have fresh grounds to start a better franchise!

I can't wait! Just make the final battle between the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS longer!

I don't think Galvatron will have a role until the Transformers set sail back in space. You have the Unicron and Magnus battle that would be the best way to end the franchise! Save Galvatron for the 5th film!

For some reason I don't think Cybertron is destroyed...

So does this mean in the fourth one we're going to find out the real-real-real reason Megatron came to Earth? Cause honestly at this point, it's hard to pin point that bit of information. First it was for the cube, then it was to destroy the sun for the fallen, then it was to meet Spockwave to teleport Cybertron on top of Earth. And those three goals are not compatible btw. What is it this time? There's yet ANOTHER Mcguffin hidden on the Earth, one that ancient Cybertronians guarded (who became the Dinobots) and were forgotten. Except there were other ancient Cybertronians roaming the Earth for like thousands of years looking for ... something. I don't know. The thought of Marky Mark and the Dinobots on screen is amusing, but these movies ain't for me, I don't think.
