Speaking with MTV, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura talks about the next Transformers movie from director Michael Bay, who calls it the first film of a brand new trilogy. When asked about the chances of more Transformers films from Bay, he expresses his hopes to see the helmer continue working on the series and that we'll definitely see more should audiences continue to come in. "Well, I can't speak for Michael. I hope he would. It would be great. But it's certainly something that, in our design of this, it's gonna be an ongoing story. And so, as long as the audience shows up for us, there's a lot of stories to be told." Additionally, he comments on the fourquel's new setting, which he says it's completely different from the last three movies despite being set in the same world. "There's a lot of new elements. I wouldn't say that we've completely changed this world, yet it's completely different. And there are new characters, new situations, I don't think we've revisited a single location. Michael has a really great way of approaching this." Bonaventura then refuses to discuss the possibility of some outer space action scenes ("I would never tell you that if it was true."), and also says that those who enjoyed the first three Transformers will certainly find things to like about this new installment, which begins shooting in May.

Transformers 4 stars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor. The film is set to hit theaters June 27th, 2014.

Let's face it: TRANSFORMERS is the TWILIGHT series for men. Crapfests which somehow pull in more money than they have any right to.

"Bonaventura then refuses to discuss the possibility of some outer space action scenes..."

That will never happen because Bay wants to make sure there is an overabundance of jingoism.

Unicron better be a multiversal singularity, like the Fallen should've been. They owe it to the hardcore TF geeks, after assraping them for the last three movies.

@Jcameron people just don't won't to admit that what your saying is the truth! If it didn't have bays name on it people would love it!

Just out of curiousity, jCameron@, why do you have a Whedon/Hulk avatar, if you're tolling for Marvelites?
DukeAcureds
DukeAcureds - 2/4/2013, 2:18 PM
pro346@ Because Bay would not have been involved and it would not have sucked. Y'kno.. they aren't just tags, they mean that these people had an artistic hand in the film, in whatever capacity is stated in th credits. You know that, right? Having said that, Mystery Men was okay, and Bay was in that. And Bad Boys was aii'iight.

@pro346- How does that make sense? People go see Bay's movie regardless of how awful a filmmaker he is. A certain director's name alone does not dictate the quality of the film. If The Avengers was terrible, I wouldn't care if Whedon worked on the film because the movie would still have been terrible.

and bay's name has nothing to do with the three transformer movies being Bad, Bay making the movies is why they are bad
