SPOILER: TRANSFORMERS 4 Spy Photo Reveals Return Of Major Character

Yesterday, tfw2005.com, revealed that the title of Michael Bay's upcoming film might be Transformers: Age of Extinction, by searching the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Now, they've posted a spy photo with a major spoiler.

Transformers: Age of Extinction appears to be the title of the new Transformers film based on trademarks that Hasbro has applied for with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. They also came across trademarks listed under the video game section: under Video Game Category: "Spirits Rising," "Autobots Supreme," and "MEGATRON RETURNS." Clearly the last trademark is the one that is most interesting, as Megatron was killed by Optimus in the last film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. To be more exact, Optimus smashed Megatron's head with an energy axe and for good measure ripped Megatron's head from his body. Now, a spy photo reveals that Megatron will be back for more punishment. Or, he'll become, Galvatron?

Sam Witwicky's parents to have a large cameo, for irrelevant comedy purposes. They will have more screen time than the TFs.

I love fanboys. They complain if a movie changes source material. They complain if a movie stays too close to source material.

The common theme?

Fanboys just want to complain.

Megatron is a metaphor for this franchise. Like Megatron himself, it just won't die no matter how much people don't want to see it anymore.

Someone needs to tell Michael Bay that you can't make a story with tension if characters can be easily resurrected every time they die. But this is Michael Bay, and his Transformers movies are just car commercials with supermodels who can't act.

Megatron literally has come back from the dead or near death in every movie. He was frozen in ice in Transformers, came back. Killed at the end of Transformers, brought back in Revenge of the Fallen. Got beat the crap out of in Revenge of the Fallen, back again in Dark of the Moon. Is anyone really surprised that he was killed in the last movie, but will be back in the 4th (most likely as Galvatron)?

Eh as long as he won't be the pussy in the last 2 films then I'll be okay with this. In the first one he was definitely a major threat, let's go down that root again.

Can we keep Megatron alive in one film? I mean every film has him killed or dead in it. Keep him alive for one [frick]ing movie.

If he's turning into Galvatron then that means Unicron is in this doesn't it?

kinda fits with the transformers cartoon from a few years that took place in the future in which megatron was just a talking robotic head.

@ManOfSteelUK doesn't matter if you're a fan or a causal viewer. The films just aren't good.

How is it good writing where the main villian is upstaged, killed and revived in EVERY movie? NONE of these walking scrap piles considered a character given how 2 diemensional they are. People might say " oh just turn your brain off and watch the fireworks" But that is a very poor justification of accepting crap from a franchise that is perfectly capable of doing better.

Megatron was dead for the first half. They had to bring him back to life.

I may not be a huge Transformers fan but I know and understand them. I liked the 1st one. Second one was shit. 3rd was ok.

Would love a prequel movie on Cybertron.
