We now know that a new Decepticon will be making his presence felt in Transformers: The Last Knight as it has been revealed today that Onslaught is coming to the franchise. The villainous leader of a group of military elite Decepticons known as the Combaticons, it remains to be seen how he'll be portrayed here, but this is a character fans have been waiting a very long time to see in live-action.

Set to be released on June 23rd next year, the movie will feature the return of Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager as well as new roles for Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael. Production on Transformers: The Last Knight is set to begin on June 6th, and will then move to currently unrevealed locations around the world as a new adventure begins. With Bay back in the director’s chair, the screenplay for the movie was written by Iron Man's Art Marcum and Matt Holloway along with Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down).

What do you think of this first look at Onslaught? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.

I hate to admit this and I feel so ashamed, but no matter how many shitty Bay-Formers movies it's been I still get a little giddy looking at this stuff and the trailers.... help me.

@warmachinerocks - I also liked the first one. Actually, the only one I never re-watch is the second one.

But the third really went with the action. All of them are popcorn movies, I don't know why people bash them so much.

Weren't all of the Combaticons military vehicles?.. I mean "combat"-icons guys, it's not that difficult to understand.

@adamant877 - Poor diluted fool, you expect Michael Bay to give two shits about the Transformers. All he did for these movies is do a quick look through the Transformers wiki and pulled some names and keywords. Slapped those names on giant piles of walking metal all while focusing on some of the most annoying human characters put to film.

@adamant877 - remember this is a different universe, thus different potrayals, for example Bonecrusher should be a Constructicon, but in the movie universe he was a regular Decepticon.
