The marketing campaign for Transformers: The Last Knight is seriously kicking things into high gear (a full year before the film's release). Following the reveal of the first official poster and a glimpse of Optimus Prime fighting a three-headed dragon, the film's official Twitter account has confirmed that eventual Optimus Prime-successor,  Hot Rod aka Rodimus Prime, will be making his debut in The Last Knight.

Aside from the warring factions of Autobots and Decepticons, the humans appearing on screen in The Last Knight include Mark Wahlberg, who reprises his role as Cade Yeager with Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael making their franchise debut.  Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson also reprise their roles in the franchise, with Anthony Hopkins set to voice one of the new Transformers in the film.

The Last Knight will be the first Transformers production since a Writer's Room was formed to create a Transformers Cinematic Universe for Paramount. Among its members were Steven S. DeKnight (Daredevil), Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff Pinker (Lost), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man),  Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Christina Hodson (Shut In), Lindsey Beer, Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
