TRANSFORMERS Actor Shia LaBeouf Announces His Retirement

After being caught plagiarizing Daniel Clowes' comic book for his short film, LaBeouf pretty much just kept digging that hole until there really wasn't anywhere else to go. The actor has now sent out a Tweet announcing his retirement "from all public life".

It's safe to say Shia LaBeouf has had a pretty bad month. The Transformers actor stole huge chunks of material from a Daniel Clowes comic for his short film ‘Howard Cantour’ - and although he initially seemed to hold his hands up and just admit that he [frick]ed up, what transpired afterwards was a bizarre serious of plagiarized apologies culminating in some damn skywriting of all things. So, we come to this:

He also added “My love goes out to those who have supported me” and the hashtag #stopcreating. I'm not even going to bother taking the piss out of that, Shia is giving it away after all. It's still not clear if he was attempting to spin all of this as some kind of performance art or even an elaborate joke, but either way things definitely seem to have gotten out of hand for the troubled fellow. To be fair, LaBeouf is a pretty good actor when he wants to be (see Lawless) so it would be a shame if this was the end of his career. Thoughts?
