Wow! We get notifications when people mention us now too? lol How freaking cool is that? Now if we can just get an up-vote system installed. *prayer hands* lol

Haha, yeah man! I mean it was literally "one" day. I don't believe that their budget was as big as it was the last time so I wouldn't see this as a way to help out with earning the cash back. The statue looks pretty cool. As expected there's tons of people anxious to go see it as soon as possible on the social networks. lol

I liked this movie better than Revenge of the Fallen, but that's not saying much. The characters were paper-thin, and the tremendous and frequent action scenes felt empty because of it. Don't get me wrong, explosions are cool, but after the millionth explosion, you become desensitized to them.

I just think this franchise needs 5-10 years of rest, and then a reboot.

Word.

Cruise does a solid fun sci-fi film and it doesn't get much attention.
Even though I thought the ending was too neat, it was a fun journey to get to it.

I just want that awesome statue. I'm not going to bother watching TF4.

Michael Bay's not getting my money, which I know doesn't make a difference at all, but at least I know I'm not spending my money on his stupid ass Transformers movies.

I just don't understand why Optimus Prime needs to ride on top of another transformer, sure it looks cool but apart from that, why?

And i'm going to take a guess that he is only riding him for about 30 seconds in the movie, most probably when turning up late for the battle at the end.

@Rocket38 Don't hold your head down in shame. One of my close friends thought TF4 was good. He is a huge Transformers fan, so he enjoys the movies for what they are.

I don't bust his balls about it. I just tell him that I don't care for the movies. Michael Bay knows there is a large fanbase for the TF movies, but instead of giving the fans what they deserve(great TF movies), he just puts out mediocre TF movies. What I'm saying is, Michael Bay is a big douchebag.

@Rocket38

Two words, Mark Wahlberg, he would be the only thing I can think of that would make this movie some what different than the others, having a new leading man most likely distracted you from the junk yard robot orgy, the nonsensical plot and bayplosion over kill. I guarantee the novelty of Wahlberg will wear off if he's in another one and it will just look like any other piece of Bay crap.

Yes, Edge of Tomorrow deserved a bigger reception. Its a great Sci Fi movie.

"I just don't understand why Optimus Prime needs to ride on top of another transformer, sure it looks cool but apart from that, why?"

Apart from looking cool? Why would you seek something more than that? Its a robot riding a T-Rex robot. There IS nothing else.

But the movie could have actually been called:
TRANSFORMERS: OPTIMUS PRIME is PISSED

@Neobaggins

But he's a semi-trailer, is it not enough that he can drive at over 100mph, why would he need to ride a robot donkey, I mean dinosaur.

I guess it looks cool but it would be better if it had purpose to it, oh wait, it's Michael Bay, there is no purpose, I forgot.

You know, they never even call the "dinobots" by their names. I wanted this to be the turning point, I had so much hope. But all that went away as soon as marky mark slow mo punched the ground and yelled Nooooo.

Hey! I got a notification that you addressed my comment!

Well, I know you're taking a dump on it ("robot donkey"), but if you want to geeky, it can be explained. If you look at the areas and terrain in which Grimlock is being road, you'll notice that riding him is much more effective than driving a Semi in the same situation. Grimlock is jumping and crushing shit in his path. Prime wouldn't be able to do that as a truck. He can't maneuver like that.

There.

staypuffed - 6/28/2014, 1:13 AM
I haven't seen the movie yet, but Optimus riding Grimlock is an incredible image. That's why they did it. Nothing in these movies is there except to look or sound cool.

Not to mention they had the girl that played Katara from the brilliant M.Night Shabalabadingdong's The Last Airbender playing Academy Award Nominated Marky Marks daughter, who's dating a boy who's 20 years old while she's too hot for 17, and his accent just drops after the scene where they point out he's Irish
