Could the Transformers 3 Action Scenes Rival The Dark Knight's?

If the Chicago Film Office Director should be believed, then yes. It appears that Micheal Bay and crew are pulling out all the stops for this three-quel.

Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf have both been vocal about making "Transformers 3" more about story and character development rather then big action sequences, which has pleased many fans who were dissapointed by "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".

"Transformers 3" began filming this month and some of the scenes will be shot on location in Chicago. According to the Chicago Film Office Director, Rich Moskal, some of the action sequences the crew has planned to film from July 10th to August 19th could rival the action sequences of "The Dark Knight", which was also filmed largely in Chicago.

Moskal specifically said: "scenes they're planning could match if not exceed the spectacular stuff The Dark Knight production pulled off."

When Mr. Moskal was asked what residents of Chicago should see during the shoot, he answered: "Flying debris, flipping cars, stunts, that's the kind of stuff you'll probably be seeing here."

"Transformers 3" certainly has some postive aspects so far: No Megan Fox, Less blowing stuff up, and the twins Mudflap and Skids are apparently being killed off.
