Amazon Prime surprised a majority of streamers when they launched their unexpected hit series The Boys this year - from Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and Seth Rogen (Preacher). The graphically violent and foul-language filled series was extremely well received, with only a small majority of fans disliking the show and taking to the internet to have their voices heard.

Now, the stars of The Boys have decided to respond in their own unique way by taking to the internet themselves - and responding. In a Mean Tweets style video the cast take turns reading one star reviews of the first season of The Boys and they don't hold anything back when it comes to letting the critics have it in return.

Certainly it is all in good fun but it's clear that the cast of The Boys really don't care what negative reviewers think as they continue to move ahead with what is being praised as one of the best comic book television adaptations currently airing. With the recent trailer launch for Season 2 - fans are more than excited and this will be something nice to tide them over.

See the cast of The Boys read the mean reviews for yourself in the following video.

The critically acclaimed series is a live-action adaptation of the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic of the same name, and was adapted for Amazon by executive producers Seth Rogen (Long Shot; Preacher) and Eric Kripke (Supernatural; Timeless).

And in case you haven't yet seen them, here are two deleted scenes from season one:
The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formidable Vought backing.
