We recently got our first official look at You’re the Worst star Aya Cash as Stormfront in the upcoming second season of The Boys, and writer/producer Eric Kripke has now taken to social media to share another couple of new images.

Despite worldwide production delays and postponements due to coronavirus, Kripke revealed that he's still hard at work (remotely) on the show, and posted a pair of stills from the edit. The first features the ever-despicable Homelander (Antony Starr), and Karl Urban's Billy Butcher has a typically psychotic look on his boat race in the second.

The first full trailer for The Boys Season 2 was scheduled to screen at PaleyFest on March 15, but with the panels being cancelled along with pretty much every other upcoming event that obviously didn't happen. There's speculation that Amazon could decide to release the trailer online at some point over the next week or so, but we'll just have to wait and see.

For now, check out the pics below and let us know what you hope to see from Butcher and co. when The Boys returns for its sophomore run.

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formidable Vought backing.

@BlackBeltJones - I don't know if Homelander is more crazed Superman in the comics but it wouldn't surprise me if Anthony Starr based his performance on Chris Evans' Cap because he really does feel like he's trying to be him but with some loose bolts in his head.

@LordWaldo - Oh I know. I just mean that considering Cap has been the more popular character and I guess has had a more definitive modern portrayal recently than Superman has so that makes sense to me at least that he used that as inspiration.

@Necropolitan - seeing as how Evans’ Cap has been the quintessential American hero for nearly the last decade, a better Supes than Supes (at least on the big screen), it wouldn’t surprise me.

Homelander feels like a Cap off his rocker.

I am interested where season 2 deviates from the comic book. Homelander in the comic book was tricked into believing he was crazy, so acted crazy then went sane for a little while. However, I do not see that happening in the tv show.

@PicolasCage - It's because he has no lip, his mouth is just a slit.

Incredible show that finds ways to elevate the source material without abandoning the comic book aspect.

I really hope Karl Urban returns as Judge Dredd in a tv show down the line. Antony Starr would be great as Judge Cal too.
