Apparently Edwards will play "Leon Basset" while Coleman will be playing a new character, "Lambert (Lam) Kendel." I'm not sure why a new character is being added since the comic is practically over run with great characters already, but anyway. They join the previously announced Jon Bernthal, Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Michael Rooker, and Chandler Riggs.

The Walking Dead is aiming for an October premier.

For anyone not in the know with this great comic, The Walking Dead is an American monthly black and white, published by Image Comics beginning in 2003. The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore. It is centered on Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse, most notably Rick's.

I really hope this show is something special.

I actually think they should add or change characters so there is more suspense about who will live or die for those who have read the actual comic.

Love to hear how this show is coming along.

Off the subject, Anil & Keven, I just saw Marvel's September solicits this morning and noticed a new Incognito book coming out. Hope the second volume is as good as the first.

Who is Leon Basset? Has it been that long since I read the 1st issues and I forgot his ass?

Never actually read the comic, but what the heck, the series probably won't air in my country anyway..

I think the introduction of new characters is a good idea. That way the fans of the books can still enjoy the show (I know they are re-writing the characters fates also but that is limited surely). After all, if I wanted to watch a true recreation I would just flick through the pages of my collection really fast. And yes I called you Shirley.
