Michael Cudlitz Cast As 'Abraham' In THE WALKING DEAD; First Official Still Revealed

Well, that search we mentioned didn't take too long! Just minutes after it was revealed that Josh McDermitt will play 'Eugene' in season four of The Walking Dead, it has now been revealed that Michael Cudlitz will play 'Abraham', and we have the firs official still of him to prove it!

Despite the fact that Michael Cudlitz has been shooting on location in Georgia for weeks now, it has somehow remained under wraps that the Southland actor will be playing 'Abraham' in the fourth season of The Walking Dead (hence why we just ran a story in which even The Hollywood Reporter thought the hunt was still on for someone to take on this role). "I was laying low because [Abraham has] a very iconic look," explains Cudlitz. "It would be very easy for somebody to put the pieces together if they saw me strolling around [near the show's set.] So I was staying very close to the hotel. And I didn’t hang out with any of the other cast members" As for what he's bringing to the character and how long he hopes to stick around, the actor added: "Abraham is someone who comes with a lot of emotional baggage. And he’s on a mission. There’s no guarantee of how long or how short it will be, which is one of the things I actually find pretty exciting about the job after being locked into Southland for so many years. But [Abraham] is very important in the comic, so I imagine even if it IS short, it’ll be bright." How do you guys feel about this latest casting addition?

Yo! Just got back from this walking dead panel. It was the most epic panel I've ever seen. This dude who's playing Abraham posed as a fan asking questions then agreed like he was crazy and was about to get on stage and fight the whole cast and ep's. Swear to god, the whole crowd was like oh shit this dude is about to get on stage and fight everyone lmao. So weird. Then when he got on stage they announced him lol. Showed such a sick preview scene too. Wasnt as hyped for this season before tonight... Now I can't wait for tomorrow. Awesome.

The show is so different from the comic.
I mean...did anything in the series premire happen in the comics at all?

And thats a good thing. I like that the show has unique stories that are different from the comics. Makes you not know whats going to happen next.

But if your going to be a seperate story...you need to make your own characters. Stop bringing Tyrese and Abraham into the show. They arent going to be the "real" Tyrese and Abraham anyway.

Look who is everyone's favorite character, Daryl Dixon...And hes not in the comics. So the writers need to stop farming stuff from the books and changing it all around anyway.

Time for the comic and show to be sperate.
