Okay gang, salt at the ready. The latest rumor going around the internet is that the katana-wielding badass Michonne will make a dramatic appearance in the 13th and final episode of season two, which returns in February. Not too far back, an extra wrote a since-deleted post on his
Tumblr account which stated that he would be playing one of Michonne's two pet zombies in the finale. However, the actor did not say who would be playing Michonne herself. Now another rumor has come flying in, from the ever elusive, "inside source" which reportedly confirms Michonne's appearance, and went a step further by revealing the fan favorite character will be played by Rutina Wesley, who many fans know from her portrayal of Tara on the hit HBO drama,
True Blood.
Wesley is also in the upcoming film,
Prometheus so I'm not sure if she would've had the time to film on
The Walking Dead but if her character does indeed simply show up in the finale, then it's plausible she would've had time in her schedule to film a scene in order to set-up the character for a bigger role in season 3. So are you hoping that this is one rumor that turns out to be true or do you wish someone else would play Michonne? Sound off in the usual spot with your comments and theories. Again, until we hear more news from more official channels, take this as a rumor with sea-salt sized pinches of salt at the ready.
