This season has been pretty good so far. I didn't think I would enjoy Merle's character coming back, but I actually like watching his character now. Any of the comic readers out there? Carl has some balls!

O man, I will keep the shotgun unloaded tomorrow. I might shoot my tv if it gets really bad for Maggie tomorrow. If it does and glen wimps out, I dont even know. Glen was awesome now he seems like a baby. He needs some lessons from Rick I think.

"Or I'll bring his hand in here"

I love all the winks and nods this show does to the comic.

Tomorrow is going to be tough to watch...

while i realize they can't survive forever - if the writers go and kill either glenn or darryl i predict a drop in viewership. there's a difference between shocking plot/storylines and shock for the sake of shock.
that's called weak writing and that will hurt the show if it happens now.

those are two characters we need to see for a while to come. a revolving door of new characters coming in to fill the void of characters we have developed a relationship with makes it so we don't really have many ties to our original group of survivors. how the hell can we be expected to care about a core group of survivors if there aren't really any left?

i realize this hasn't happened yet, but i feel its just around the corner. hopefully im very wrong.

SO the whole comment about Glenn's hand maybe a bit too much of a departure for me from the comic books if that's the way it turns out.

It's nice to be surprised though!

I definitely think he is going to rape Maggie, make Glen listen, and at the end of the episode: they are gonna find the prison or they are gonna here Glen scream and the episode will end.

@NotU, I agree. Ill still watch the show, but it is pointless to take something as important and somewhat iconic from the main character and the comic. Rick needs to lose his hand, not Glen. Im still a little upset that they dont rape Michonne instead of Maggie cuz it really does make her revenge that much better on The Governor.

@maxxgone - The same could be said if there kept alive, not killing off characters because there scared of the amount of viewers the show will lose is a massive copout. Not everyone can live, and if they bring in new people and then kill them off I would be a little pissed that none of the original survivors were dying.

they'll do more of a molestation than a rape with Maggie.
just like we havent actually seen Carl shoot a regular human being (zombified shane/off-camera Lori).

and yeah @ GreenHalJordan I'm not interested in Glen receiving the 'Roland' treatment.
it's meant for Rick.

it should also be mentioned that they ducked the significantly worse outro for Lori.

she got off easy on the show for how much of an un-likeable muling quim she was.

@GreenHal how do you feel in regards to the whole hand deal, that it may end up that the insertion of Merle/Daryl is a mere foreshadowing plot detail?

I have been reading each of the graphic novels as they surface and messing with the dynamic by putting others in place is stupid, but hey I'm just a follower they must know what they're doing right? Maggie has her own $#!% to deal with later on in the show I guess they are gonna go a different route all together. To me it does seem to take away from the charcter development for everyone involved with meeting the Governor for the 1st time. What do I know tho? I may quit watching after this episode but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

I dont care who loses his hand , just dont rape Maggie , in the comics that event somewhat "helped" make Michone more vulnerable i guess , i they do it to make it would be a dick move.

I really do think Merle wants out of being the Governors Right hand man, but he has something over top of him that hangs like a dagger. I really don't think they are going to kill them since Merle's brother is still alive and Maggie and Glen are the key. I think the worest of it would be Glen gets taken out just to satisfy the Governor. The thing that I am worried about will Rick lose his hand or not.

I read that the 1st choice for the title for tonight's episode was "Balls Deep" I'm not really sure what significance that would have had...Your thoughts?
