i found the part where they ambush those troops completely bullshit, i know its a tv show about zombies but those soldiers would have not dropped their guard knowing what they had already been through.

@BossWalsh

I kept saying they were national guard reserves over and over to get through it, but it took me out. They did not even cast believable types and they frickin' shoot in Georgia. Michonne's apprehension was too thick(had a better way of putting it, but this is not my showpiece).

Is it me or does the guy playing the Governer look and sound like a southern Liam Nesson lol.

I thought the episode was a good introduction for the Governor, it showed you slowly how big of a psychopath he is and it showed you how manipulative he is by having Merle practically on a leash.

I've read in another article that the actor playing The Gov. does sound a bit like Liam Neeson.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that but 2 other friends repeated that as well.
I wonder if he's doing that voice on purpose or he can't help it.

If Neeson was on the show ya could call it : The Taken Dead

Episode was great!
1. Governor convinced the soldiers to lower their guard, although I think the governor would have been shot standing in the middle.
2. This is still the beginning of the season, character development is essential and slow pieces are necessary. People need to calm down!
3. I don't have a number 3, but people need to let the story play out.

If the Governor is half as brutal as the comics, things are gonna get very violent very soon.

@ManOfSuperguy, if you've read the comic, you'll know that the way the Zombies are used there makes the same gradual progression. I mean we are talking about people & throughout history people might be overcome by something & panic, but once it becomes part of the every day norm, for any group of people it will lose the shock value & eventually turn into background noise... The Zombies in the show are now no different than Lions in the African Safari... Where the Natives are aware of them & cautious of them, but are able to go on about their daily life now & only really have to worry about other humans more than they have to worry about the Lions themselves.

Episode was awesome. i dont understand what evryones problem is. if it wa the other way around you all would be complaing that there was too much mindless killing and not enough plot/character develpoment

Yeah, I don't get this??? Everyone was wanting to see Michonne, the Gov and Merle and that's what we just got!! The first two episodes had plenty of WALKER killing in it for me and this was a welcome slow down and the chance to introduce or reintroduce some pivotal characters in the show. We even got the headtanks, for crying out loud! What more could you ask for.

Thumbs up👍👍

Was a bit underwhelmed by this episode. There was a lack of tension which imho is what makes TWD great television. Also there weren't too many surprises in this episode. What little there were (the gunning down of those National guards survivors and the tanks of walkers/biters/lurkers heads in the guv's private room) were left too late till the end without any build up. Kind of missed seeing Rick and co in action.

And yet when the two groups meet up, this episode will of allowed it all to make sense... It's called introducing new characters and giving them backgrounds....

three seasons and people are STILL complsining when a episode isnt just all action -_- stop watching then, when will you learn this is a charector driven show, the zombie violence will obviously come with the territory but it isnt the point, the point is what these people become inside of this zombie apocalypse
with that being said the episode was perfect, the return of Merl a great performance by the Govenor, him with the zombie tv! it was great this season has been flawless so far and the best out of the 3

I love the episode! For a good part of the episode you can see the similarities between Rick and the Governor but by the end you start to see the clear differences between the two. But it does make you wonder if Rick would turn into the Governor given the chance?
