Following last week's show-stopping season three finale, Apple TV+ surprise-dropped the first official teaser trailer for the fourth and final season of Silo, and confirmed the final batch of episodes will premiere on July 9, 2027!
Spoilers ahead, but the third season ended in jaw-dropping fashion as we finally got some real answers about what's been going on in Silo 18 and who's been hiding in Silo 1.
After the season's penultimate hour ended with a nuclear explosion that sent Daniel (Ashley Zukerman) and Helen (Jessica Henwick) into separate silos, the finale spent the majority of its runtime focusing on Daniel in Silo 1. He's been renamed Troy after being given memory-erasing drugs and put into cryo-sleep for decades at a time. Now a cold-blooded specialist who is only awakened to handle crises for The Project, he executes the tragic, mass destruction of the escapees from Silo 17—aka Solo's home. However, despite the extreme conditioning, he retains distant flashes of his lost love Helen, though he's unable to place a name to her face for most of the episode. More on that in a bit!
Meanwhile, it's also revealed that the voice behind The Algorithm in IT was actually Dr. Victor Crnkovich (Matt Craven), who has been communicating directly with Camille (Alexandria Riley). Thanks to a welcome moment of deceit, Camille manages to trick him, giving Knox (Shane McRae) and Shirley (Remmie Milner) enough time to block the safeguard pipe.
Seemingly transformed by the deception and presumably ashamed of the atrocities he's responsible for, Victor sends a drone to monitor Silo 18 and finally chooses to reawaken Troy after thirty-five years. However, instead of being there to greet him, he instead shockingly commits suicide.
Then, Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) catches up with Lukas (Avi Nash) before going further underground to investigate the door underneath the silo. The Legacy, now voiced by Troy, engages with her and she manages to strike a deal: Silo 18 will be left alone as long as Juliette doesn't attempt to contact another silo. Juliette accepts the deal, but later tells her crew that they need to attack Silo 1 now, when they least expect it. The war is on!
Before taking his own life, Victor left behind a hidden video recording for Troy. Troy hits play and receives one final message from Victor, who finally gives him the answer he's been searching for: the woman in his visions is Helen Drew. Hearing her name sparks an emotional reaction from Troy just before the screen cuts to black. Now, we wait for season four!
Rebecca Ferguson headlines the cast, which is also expected to return Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, Clare Perkins, Ashley Zukerman, Jessica Henwick, Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, Colin Hanks, and Steve Zahn.
Silo returns for its fourth and final season on July 9, 2027!

Based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, season three of “Silo" reveals an origin story set centuries earlier, while continuing the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.
