Things over at Starling City have really been hotting up lately with shock deaths as the battle between Slade Wilson/ Deathstroke and Oliver Queen/ Arrow comes to a mighty end.
EW caught up with executive producers (Kreisberg, Guggenheim and Berlanti) to talk about the conclusion.
When asked about the number of deaths fans should expect to see in the episode, they revealed 3 characters stories will come to an end. Who exactly? This remains to be seen when the episode airs May 14th.
The trio also talked about how the events of season one and two will prepare Oliver Queen for future seasons;
"Well, it’s hard to answer since Oliver is dead. Kidding. Actually, the finale drew to a close Oliver’s season-long journey from vigilante to hero. He’s now poised to return to Starling City ready to be what the city
needs".
Interestingly, when asked to draw a scene from the finale 'Unthinkable' the producers gave this image:
So who are the mystery figures? Only Roy and Slade possess enough power to raise a person like that. But for the more slender (presumably female?) character, that's anyones guess. What do you make of the image, share your thoughts below.
OLIVER MUST DECIDE ONCE AND FOR ALL IF HE’S A KILLER OR A HERO — Slade (Manu Bennett) moves forward with his plan to kill one more person in Oliver’s (Stephen Amell)life. While Oliver has fought all year to be more than the killer he once was, when Slade kidnaps someone close to Oliver’s heart, Oliver is pushed to the edge and realizes sometimes it takes doing the unthinkable to stop the monster. Meanwhilee, Diggle (David Ramsey) takes on Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) with a little help from some friends, and Thea (Willa Holland) turns to Roy (Colton Haynes) in her time of need. John Behring directed the episode with story byGreg Berlanti and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Andrew Kreisberg (#223).
