ARROW: Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim Teases Green Lantern Easter Egg

Not many shows place Easter Eggs better than Arrow, having already teased the Flash and Harley Quinn this season, and last night, EP Marc Guggenheim tweeted out a photo that hints at the possible presence of a certain Emerald Knight in the Arrow world. Come check it out!

This is not the first time the show has teased Ferris Air as, if you remember, the airline was mentioned throughout Season 1 as Edward Fyers and his men tried to shoot down a Ferris Air jetliner until they were stopped by Oliver, Slade, and Shado. Could this new preview signify a more prominent presence of the airline in the near future? While the appearance of Hal Jordan or John Stewart's Green Lantern is still unlikely due to movie obligations, it cannot be completely ruled out. In case you forgot, executive producers Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim both worked on the script for 2011's Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, so an introduction of Hal Jordan, John Stewart, or Carol Ferris isn't completely out of the question for future seasons or on the Flash spin-off. Whether Reynolds or Lively reprise their roles is up for debate. Anyways, this is another nice Easter Egg from the creative team of Arrow. What do you guys think? Would you want a Green Lantern cameo in the future? Who would you want to put on the ring? Sound off below.

Arrow is a modern retelling of the DC Comic character Green Arrow. Multi-millionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing, and presumed dead after a shipwreck at sea. He is found five years later, having survived on a desert island off his wits and by mastering the bow and arrow. When he returns to Starling City however, he discovers that it is rife with corruption and crime. Oliver decides to put his skills to use by taking on the persona of Arrow and becoming the vigilante that Starling City needs.

Arrow features:
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak
David Ramsey as John Diggle
Willa Holland as Thea Queen
Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance
Susana Thompson as Moira Queen
Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance
Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke
Colton Haynes as Roy Harper
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Canary

Arrow returns April 16.

@Tuuralihn Its an easter egg because 1: Hal Jordan Works for Ferris air as a test pilot and 2: his girlfriend/enemy (Star Sapphire) is Carol Ferris- the owner of the company

@ JBatesy ah ok thanks! ALso, awesome? Though I seriously doubt we'll see GL in Arrow. Maybe Jordan or Stewart? Or just an ad on a bus for Ferris Air. Most probably the latter.

Diggle also becomes Green Lantern in the promo for next episode. If you don't believe me, pay attention to his finger. Watch the ring jump on him.

I stand by my opinion that GL would make an excellent TV series. It's like Star Trek meets Police/Military documentary.

Yeah all I see is a Ferris reference. Until I see a power ring or hear mention of Jordan, Stewart, or Rayner, this isn't that great!

Irishyardball the budget would need to be high to portray the GL powerset. Too high for a CW show.

I think maybe deep into next season we should get another major hero cameo. Once the Flash show gets rolling and powers are established, it's practically a guarantee that they'll open the door to more large characters. Likely not any of "The Trinity" but Green Lantern, Nightwing, Cyborg, or hell even Aquaman would only be expected in coming seasons. Think of where they've gone in under two seasons and then figure where they'll go from here.

Spidey5194,

Thats a good point, but if they limit the budget in other areas, like giving him a full CGI suit it could be done. And if they tie it in correctly, there is no reason it can't be their most expensive show.
