Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Paul Blackthorne will not return for Arrow season seven as a series regular, making him the second original cast member, following Willa Holland, to leave the series in just a few short weeks.

With only three episodes remaining in the current season, the show is being extremely tight-lipped about how exactly they plan on bidding farewell to Quentin Lance, but with Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) making an appearance in the season finale, we can probably expect his departure to be a pretty special moment - or, well, heartbreaking if the situation with Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and The Dragon (Kirk Acevedo) takes a turn for the worse.

The series is expected to make some drastic changes for season seven, with star Stephen Amell even teasing that the finale would feature unprecedented consequences for Oliver Queen and company, with rumors even suggesting that next season would adapt the Escape from Super Max storyline. How exactly Mayor Lance figures into all of this is yet-to-be-seen.

So, what do you guys think? Are you still watching? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Whoa, that's a huge loss right there. Will miss having Quentin around.

So Quentin does and Oliver will be finally proven to be the Green Arrow, end up in Supermax for like 3 episodes as Roy takes over for him again?

@Armageddon26 - A rough idea that could happen but who knows, it could end up being different with their track record.

@Krav - And Season 4, episode 18 always has a major hero death.
Arrow, Season 4, episode 18 = Black Canary dies
The Flash, Season 4, episode 18 = The Elongated Man dies
So the question is... who will die in episode 18 of Supergirl next season. My money is on Alex.

@tugboy - god i hope so , she's so useless , they focused on her coming out last year i hated that , i felt like i was watching the OC or something , tbh jimmuy is useless too ... the only reason he is dating lena is cause they couldn't find something for him after the backlash of the guardian

@Krav - Right. Alex and Jimmy are two that I am not sure what more they can do with the characters. Alex went through her coming out arc, getting engaged arc, and now single arc. Not sure what more they could do with her except somehow give her powers.

@tugboy - I'm calling it right now: Alex is going to become Ruby's caretaker. Sam/Reign is going to die & Alex is going to have her "child" in an orphaned Ruby. She may have lost Maggie, but she'll have gained a daughter & basically will become Eliza in adopting an orphan.

Pretty sure he'll die saving Laurel 2. I hope they get rid of most of the cast to shake things up. Last season's finale was a good chance to do that but the writers wuss'd out.

Side note, gotta say this shot of Donnell in the suit is pretty good.

Great actor and I will miss his presence but his character has been useless (just like Willa's) for quite some time. It's always about his daughters, daughters, daughters.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I'm not sure what more they can do with his character. Except have him join the Legends.

Usually when cast members start to leave, that's a sign that the show should end.

This sucks a lot. He was always an interesting character.

Stephen Amell shared weeks ago a spoiler pic from set where he was sitted near someone on a hospital bed but it was blurred in green color and seeing how he has been trying to hype the finale with how something happens that is impossible to undo it seems that Quentin will die.

These showrunners never gave a damn about the Lance family once they began to pander to Felicity and Olicity. Pretty ugly display of bias, favoritism and unproffesionalism to the story, characters and fans. They killed the original female lead and turned her final moments into Olicity, they didn’t do much with Thea either and now have killed Lance too. Only the “OTA” remains which is also at this point broken and the last pandering stronghold that is left for them to fanservice. No Laurel. No Lance. No Thea. No Moira. No Walter, not even Merlyn is left. But Felicity, an original character that was irrelevant, does.

So stupid. Sara is just coming back to the present for more bad news like in the LoT S1 finale.

Paul Blackthorne ended up being way too much for this show and this awful and bore of a Season.

Season 7 better be better in every way because if it is going to be more of the same then they really are the worst in these live adaptations.
