Outside of the relationship issues between Oliver & Felicity and Diggle & Lyla, tonight's episode proved to be quite an uneventful hour as even Oliver & Felicity's grand escape proved to be fairly anticlimactic. However, things took a turn for the worst in the closing moments as Adrian Chase introduced himself to William Clayton, a.k.a. Oliver's son!
The preview and synopsis for next week's installment reveals that Oliver might not be immediately made aware of William's possible abduction, which seemingly suggests that Prometheus might have something more nefarious in store. Meanwhile, Mayor Queen will also have his hands full in the office when every criminal Chase has ever helped put away has now been released on the streets of Star City. He'll also have to deal with a mysterious package.
Check out the new extended promo for episode twenty-one, titled "Honor Thy Fathers," below:
"Honor Thy Fathers" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)
CHASE CONTINUES TO TORMENT OLIVER - Oliver (Stephen Amell) returns to the mayor's office and faces one of his most pressing issues yet - the forced release of dozens of violent criminals prosecuted by Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra). Meanwhile, a crate is delivered to Oliver's office containing a mysterious corpse encased in concrete. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Sarah Tarkoff (#521). Original airdate 5/10/2017.
Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as Speedy, Team Green Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity – but they’re no longer the only vigilantes in town. Green Arrow’s public defeat of Damien Darhk at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.
