After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

I was wondering, while ARROW is so successfully delivering brilliance, shouldn't we have a section for "Green Arrow" in the "CBM Index" ?? I mean we have for even the ones that suck. There should be a section for Green Arrow in the Index.

This show is consistently outdoing itself every week. Last nights was another brilliant episode and from the looks of it the next one's going to be just as good. A great cast and some great plotlines make this one of the best shows around at them moment

I can't wait. I'm loving this show. I have even roped my wife into watching this show now. She is now just as excited to watch it as I am. I hope WB/DC bridge this show with its movie universe.

Watching last night's eppie tonight but Robert Knepper is great! Looking forward to this.

Let's start campaigning for a GA icon. I agree that it's ridiculous.

Nothing wrong with Katie/Laurel! Did anyone stop to think that she is looking thinner in the face due to getting into character? I mean, she is going through a rough time in her life with drugs and alcohol, and now her sister!!! A healthy looking drug/alcohol addict wouldn't come across as convincing now would it? Give her some credit. She's still much prettier then Lotz!!!! At least Cassidy doesn't talk with a wrinkled, hardened granny mouth!

They should build a Birds Of Prey on Arrow with Nyssa (leaving the league), Huntress and Sara. Who else is down?

@nickh - I think there's something to your theory about the way her hair and makeup is being done to make her seem gaunt and unhealthy. They talked about it a bit on the "Blast Radius" episode of Quiver: The Green Arrow Podcast (quiverpodcast-dot-com)

@Lemons I think Katie Cassidy is beautiful also. The natural Katie not her chin implant or anorexic look.

I was impressed by her in Taken and Nightmare On Elm Street and I thought she looked like a major star of the future. If she had looked like she does now I would never have thought that.

@JasonBlue Katrina Law impressed the hell out of me. I've never seen any of her previous work. She had exceptional screen presence. I have to say I'd love to see her have a show like that but I suspect she's got some big breakthrough role in her near future.
She may end up have a connection to Oliver like Talia to Batman. As the fight wore on her eyes went from confident to concerned to astonishment in her defeat at his hands.
I think her character will be more curious about him and Ra's will too after he learns that Arrow defeated his daughter.

I'm very excited and pleased to see the show going deeper into the characters the past 6 episodes. Amazingly the show has improved AGAIN, AGAIN, like Tugg Speedman would say.

@MercSoul That was great! Thanks for the heads up. To actually post that video you have to click the link that's below the right of the player: "embed post" and copy and paste that code.

I would do it but I don't want to LeBeouf you.

@ManDeth - I agree! She's got a bright future ahead of her and I'm stunned at how DC could pass up the opportunity to cast her as Wonder Woman. I would have thought the same about her and Oliver but the Executive Producers told her that her character is indeed a lesbian and that Sara is her "beloved" much like Batman is to Talia.
