ARROW Season 3, Episode 12 Description; "Uprising" - [SPOILER] Joins Team Arrow!

The CW have released the first official description for "Uprising", the twelfth episode of Arrow's third season. In it, we learn that the flashbacks will focus on [SPOILER] in this instalment, and that he'll be drafted into Team Arrow in the present day! Check it out...

MALCOLM MAKES AN OFFER TO HELP TEAM ARROW — Still operating without Oliver (Stephen Amell) and desperate to stop Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones), Team Arrow is forced to consider Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) offer to help shut Brick down as Malcolm has a personal score to settle with the felon. Roy (Colton Haynes) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) point out that the team could use some help to save the innocents of The Glades, but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is adamantly against it. They look to Diggle to make the final decision. Meanwhile, the flashbacks chronicle Malcolm’s descent from kind-hearted father and husband to cold-blooded killer after the murder of his wife. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Brian Ford Sullivan.


So, it sounds like we won't get to see anything of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in this episode if the flashbacks will be focusing on Malcolm Merlyn. The Dark Archer possibly joining Team Arrow should make for some interesting scenes too! What do you guys think?

Is Thea going to come into play too? We've seen her moves, but I think she might be an even better fight than Roy. She's trained by Malcolm and Arrow usually gets his ass handed by Malcolm.

I think we should also note that this reveals Oliver isn't back in Starling by episode 12 (not that he isn't alive yet...unless he didn't die) but even so...its nice to see it wasn't a "dead...alive...back in Starling" type of move

Merlyn is a kool character, I like the crazy idea he's gonna " help " Team Arrow...Thea on the other hand, well, I think Ollie should've just let the League take care of her :D

Predictable. Like the Talia Al Ghul comic story all over again ¬_¬

The flashbacks will help develop his character, as a good man who has fallen into evil and thus will help the audience relate with him. Then Malcolm will be left with a choice to save Oliver or leave him and will choose to save him getting a redemption.

Then either Ras Al Ghul will find out and kill him or Malcolm will continue and become a sort of anti-hero... sometimes an ally, sometimes an enemy.

@Scarilian .... considering he knows of Oliver's death...and someone has taken his body...I doubt it will take 3 episodes to find his body at all.

Given that he is a felon and that Malcolm's wife was murdered, that's got me thinking what I'm sure everyone else is: Brick killed Rebecca.
