DOUG JONES GUEST STARS AS DC COMICS’ VILLAIN DEATHBOLT — Lance (Paul Blackthorne) continues his mission to take down the Arrow (Stephen Amell) so Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) orders Oliver to keep a low profile. However, when a meta-human named Jake Simmons (guest star Doug Jones), who kills people with blasts of energy and plasma, starts terrorizing Starling City, Oliver is forced to ask Ray (Brandon Routh) for help. The unlikely duo is forced to team up to save the city. Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode with story by Jake Coburn and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.


After a rather slow first half, it definitely appears as if Arrow will be picking up the pace as it rockets towards the season three finale. What do you guys think of these latest details? Sound off below!

So April 14 is Atom crossover week, sucks we have another week break after next week. Anybody think next week's cliffhanger might be Ras showing Lance his daughter is alive?

I'm in the middle of season one of Arrow. So far I like the Royal Flush Gang episode and the Firefly one. Still not the Flash. Does this show get better?

Still disappointed those Tom Welling as Superman rumors were fake. That would be pretty neat to cross over some of the Smallville characters via The Flash.

I'd say that a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie or TV special down the line is looking pretty likely at this point and it is definitely possible Smallville characters could appear.

I know. That's what I've been screaming! "SHRINK, YOU MOTHER[frick]ER!!!! SHRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNKKK!!!"

For now, it appears as though he is going to be "Captain Bungee Cord". I really hope that changes. We want THE Atom!! Character interpretation is one thing, but completely changing the character's abilities is something else entirely.

My personal opinion is that season 1 definitely picks up after the first half. Only reason i stuck with it initially was because it was a comic book tv series. I definitely didn't like the Royal Flush Gang & Firefly episodes. Worst yet the Huntress. But yup, the 2nd half of season 1 really kicks ass.... wait till u get a load of season 2

Atom feels painfully out of place on this show. Why call him "atom" if he doesnt shrink? Hes just basically some cheap Iron Man knockoff. Why didnt they use Blue Beetle instead?

@Negan second half of Season One is pretty good and Season Two, all the way through, loved it. Season 3 atm just isn't holding up to the past Two seasons that well

@Nightforce they did plan to use Blue Beetle. Even hinted Kord Industries during the first season. But when the time came, DC basically said no, they have other plans for him and suggested the Atom instead. Possibly for Titans perhaps?

not a fan of Atom's look, but perhaps it will change overtime. Right now it looks like he was dressed by the same person who slapped together that laser tag Deathlok abortion on AoS.

also, he should shrink.

I didn't like this while character change in Captain Lance...yes he's grieving, yes he should have been told earlier about Sara's death, but he's acting like a total dick!

All that being said, the creators did mention that The Atom would most probably shrink in The Flash. The show, I mean.
