This episode was the best episode of the season in my opinion. Like this weeks episode of The Flash, it too paid some fan service by bringing in the character John Constantine. Although I never watched Constantine when his show was on NBC, he was amazing in this episode and made me want to see his character more. His character and wittiness was very entertaining to watch. When he went with Oliver and Laurel to rescue Sara’s soul, it made you fall in love with this character. One of my complaints I had with this part of the episode though was it felt a bit rushed. I was hoping to take full advantage of his appearance in the episode and I would have loved to see at least a two or three episode story arc with Constantine trying to recover Sara’s soul. Before this scene, he was only in the episode in flashbacks on the island with Oliver. We got to see him use some his skills and fight off an attacker while Oliver and Laurel pull Sara’s soul from the Lazarus pit. Now Sara’s back and ready to be White Canary on Legends of Tomorrow. Constantine tells Oliver to get out of town while he still can after hearing that Damien Darhk is there. Also I’m speculating that the tattoo that John Constantine transferred from his arm earlier in the episode to Oliver’s side might help in defeating Darhk later this season.
