Fans haven’t seen a live-action version of DC Comics’ Birds of Prey since the short-lived TV show from the early 2000s, but come February of next year, the famous superhero team will make their big screen debut in the film Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

However, it seems their forthcoming appearance on the silver screen hasn’t dampened Arrow star Katie Cassidy Rodgers’ interest in a new Birds of Prey series, as she recently revealed that she pitched the idea to The CW network.

"I’ve pitched it," the actress revealed during an interview with Newsarama"I think they should. It’s time for women. Come on, we’ve got this."

While these comments don’t suggest anything official is in the works, stars Cassidy Rodgers, Caity Lotz, Juliana Harkavy, and Emily Bett Rickards recently shared the spotlight for an episode of Arrow, which saw then form a team that some fans thought was reminiscent of the Birds of Prey.

But what do you folks think? Are you interested in seeing the DC Comic’s team return to the small screen? To share your thoughts, leave a comment below.

@Arrow96 - "It’s time for women" actually means:

"It's time for me to have a higher-paying staring role"

The CW could probably have a good go at it. They already have enough female supers to do it: Black Canary, Huntress, Overwatch, Batwoman and introduce Lady Blackhawk. Hawkgirl could also be added to the group.

They've already assassinated the Canary character but would it be any worse than what we are getting from the movie coming out next year?

She seems really enthusiastic about it. Maybe something could be arranged. It also depends on what happens with next year's BoP film.

They would have to bring back Huntress too, she usually teams up with them.

There is potential. Let's see how things go.

I kept coming back to Arrow once every few seasons, and every time I got confused af as to who was Canary or who was dead or who was from another timeline.

I think I'm done tbh.

I'd want Jessica De Gouw to be part of the series too.
