The cast of the mysterious Arrow/The Flash spinoff continues to grow, with Dominic Purcell joining his co-star Wentworth Miller and confirming in the process that we'll see yet another team up between Captain Cold and Heat Wave. The show is being eyed to premiere next midseason, and it will mark the first series regular role for both actors since they played brothers in popular Fox drama Prison Break. Deadline don't have any details as to how Purcell's character will factor into the spinoff, but hopefully we'll get to see more of The Rogues alongside him. The actor joins a cast which so far includes Brandon Routh (The Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), and Caity Lotz (The Canary?). What do you guys think about this latest addition? I am really curious what direction this show is going. What is apparent is the baddie will be going from show to show......which is actually awesome.

Or should I say they will be making appearances on The Flash, Arrow, and whatever this spinoff show is going to be.

Also I really hope in someway or capacity they tie in Supergirl and Teen Titans into The Flash and Arrow.

When they say they are part of the cast, do they mean they are regulars or just part of the cast. If they are regulars, this means they are probably good guys, by the time the show airs, since I doubt they'd be feature in all or most of the episodes if they were villains.

@RextheKing

I don't think they're going to specify that yet. They don't even want to release the title until they get all of the pieces in place.

Teen Titans....I was under the impression that they were like the young sons/daughters or something of some of the established heroes? or maybe just a young Robin? i tried watching the cartoon on tv but it was obviously geared for young kids.

If the above is true, how would they tie it in?

@GreenLantern519 It was more of a rhetorical question. I don't expect an answer from the showrunners anytime soon, I just wanted to get some speculation going.

I wasn't a fan of Heat Wave, a little over the top kid show acting if you ask me. Snart was good.

According to the ads on this site, Wentworth Miller is half Black, which is a surprise to me. Not being racist, I'm a Black/Native American/Irish mix myself.

I do like these two together but wish Purcell will turn it down a little, he's coming off as a bit "hammy"

Miller and Purcell are great additions. Miller is a fantastic actor, and Purcell is a beast.

Still wish Purcell was cast as Cable for XMen Apocalypse or an XForce movie though. He'd be perfect.

Heat Wave is meant to be a bit over the top. A complete opposite of Captain Cold such as how fire and ice are complete opposites.

And still nothing about Robbie Amell's Ronnie for the spin-off.

They're just some of DC's teen heroes; the original roster consisting of sidekicks.

The show being made is called "Titans", insinuating they're old enough to have graduated high school.
Roy Harper's in that age range and he was a Titan in the comics.

"Heat Wave is meant to be a bit over the top. A complete opposite of Captain Cold such as how fire and ice are complete opposites."

I get that, but for the acting caliber of this show and how some of the other villains are portrayed I think his acting is too much over the top. There is a fine line between acting over the top kid show style and acting opposite another character in a CBM show… I get this is a little for kids too, but I think the general audience they are catering to is young adults to older adults. But its really just an opinion, maybe I'm just too critical when I watch the TV actors.
