Expect To See 'Laurel Lance' Become 'Black Canary' In A "Trilogy" Of ARROW Episodes
For those of you worrying that Arrow is rushing into Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) transformation into Black Canary, there's really no need to fret as executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has now shed some light on how her evolution into Starling City's newest vigilante will come about...
We've known since day one that Laurel Lance would eventualy become Black Canary, and the murder of Sara Lance kicked the door wide open to that happening. The last few episodes of Arrow have seen Laurel training to become a vigilante much to Oliver Queen dismay, and some official images were recently released giving us our first look at her suited up as the comic book superhero. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that we will see her in the Arrow half of the upcoming crossover with The Flash, but they're holding back the good stuff for a little further down the line. "Laurel appears in the Arrow episode. She's not as present in these episodes, but that is because we've been building up to her appearance as the Black Canary. We sort of said that Sara was the Canary, but Laurel is the Black Canary. Episodes 10, 11 and 12 are a three-part trilogy that are about her. And episode 13 I think I can spoil, is called 'Canaries.' For fans of Laurel and for fans of Katie [Cassidy], they're going to get more than their fill after the winter break." Are you guys looking forward to seeing Laurel Lance become Black Canary?
