Now that he's finished his brief stint as a WWE Superstar, Stephen Amell is once again back to shooting the highly anticipated fourth season of Arrow. With Damien Darhk on his way to Star City, a confirmed cameo from Constantine, the resurrection of Sara Lance, and  the transformation of The Arrow into Green Arrow, it's shaping up to be a busy year for Oliver Queen. With the trailer on the way, this poster give us a great new look at the costume he'll be wearing, and there's no denying that it's a huge improvement on what's come before. What do you think of the suit?

The suit looks great, but will they make it good again or are they gonna keep the soap opera tone?

This a marked improvement, much closer to Neal Adams' version of GA. Adams was the first artist to re-design the Golden Age GA's Robin Hood outfit in a 70's Brave and Bold Batman/GA team-up issue and introduced the bearded look as well. The hat and fern were retained with a more leathery olive green color scheme, similar to what we're seeing now.

The interesting dilemma is how anyone outside team arrow will not recognize the Green Arrow's striking physical resemblance to the Arrow. He might need to wear a false beard as GA though that would be hard to pull off (no pun intended)for fast costume changes.

I'm loving the new suit and the fact that the series is going to be more like the comics, with Oliver Queen finally becoming the Green Arrow. Just as long it maintains its darker, somewhat street level tone. There is no reason for it to suddenly turn into a light-hearted series THE FLASH.

Are they going for irony by desaturating his costume so much just as they're officially changing his name to "Green Arrow"? Or is this just an issue with the picture, and the suit is actually brighter than this?

I mean, yeah, the suit kicks all kinds of ass... but the only green I can see anywhere on this poster is on the feathers at the end of the actual arrows.

Aw, well. Can't wait for the new season! Between this, The Flash, and Supergirl, it's gonna be a hell of a year!

(Just a minor aside, but I like the fact that Ollie is finally getting his "Dark Knight" suit. "Arrow" has cribbed so much from Chris Nolan's Bat-films in terms of tone, plotting, and story arcs, but Oliver never got to upgrade his suit the way Bruce did at the beginning of The Dark Knight-- he just added a mask and some strapped-on dart holsters. I guess they were saving that big transition for when he finally changed his name!)

I've loved all of Oliver's costumes on Arrow. It has been really cool to see the progression of his suit over the course of the series. I really like everything about his new suit except for the lack of sleeves. I'm well aware that in the comics, Oliver always went with a sleeveless look but considering the practicality of not having your arms covered, I find it to be less tactical. Incorporating the sleeves on his costume was one of the changes from the comics that I really enjoyed with his costume. I'm sure that it will grow on me once I see Oliver in action in the upcoming season. The major change that I find surprising is that they completely did away with his old hood which was given to him by Shadow. I really like his new hood but I would have never thought that they would have done away with the Shadow hood. Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to the new season and I know Arrow season 3 will be awesome!
