OLIVER SEARCHES FOR THEA IN CORTO MALTESE WHILE DIGGLE TRACKS A.R.G.U.S. AGENT MARK SHAW — Oliver (Stephen Amell) decides it’s time for Thea (Willa Holland) to come back to Starling City, so he packs for Corto Maltese, where Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) has traced Thea’s whereabouts. Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) asks Diggle (David Ramsey) to go with Oliver because one of her field operatives, Mark Shaw (guest star David Cubitt), has gone dark in Corto Maltese and she’d like him to look into it. Feeling responsible for Thea’s departure, Roy (Colton Haynes) joins Oliver and Diggle on their journey. Shaw double-crosses Diggle, putting numerous A.R.G.U.S. agents, including Lyla, at risk. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) meets Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez), and Felicity adjusts to her new job. Stephen Surjik directed the episode written by Erik Oleson & Beth Schwartz (#303).

You know that feeling after you just vomited and you must vomit some more despite your stomach being empty? That's the most accurate description for Laurel.

Seriously, mark whomever did the casting in this (like literally... with a horse branding iron - on their forehead - "idiot" or "incompetant" would be good) - and avoid their teen-based crap in the future. I mean, is anyone in these shows over 35 and not casting-call cliche good looking by focus group?

I know Laurel is supposed to become Canary, like her comic book counter part, but I REALLY prefer Sara.

I just cant take Laurel seriously, as a hero or as a character.

Ezra Miller as the Flash and J.R. Ramirez as Wildcat.... makes you wonder if WB cares at all about the little comic book company that they own. youd think theyd learn about bad casting after catwoman, but I guess not

Yeah, I don't buy him as Ted Grant. Maybe he actually IS Ted Grant Junior or whatever. Anyways, as I said before - as long as he isn't used as Laurel love interest I can live with it.

I've always liked Corbin Bernsen for Wildcat (though he may be aging out of it now) but... uh... "generic tattooed welter-weight boxer" is good, too, I guess...

Ugh.

Even not being an Arrow fan, I'm kinda surprised at how bad this casting is. That's not even close. Really strange.

I don't see the problem with Ramirez as Ted Grant. He definitely as the feel for the character, even despite the age difference.
