The CW has released the first synopsis for the fifth episode of Arrow's fifth season, and in it we get the first details about what to expect from the network's take on the Human Target. If that name's familiar, it's because the character starred in a short-lived TV series a number of years ago, but this is going to be a totally different version played by Jessica Jones villain Wil Traval when he appears in Star City.

A professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins, the character (a.k.a. Christopher Chance) will be an ally to Oliver Queen here, but it's what brings him to this neck of the woods which is really interesting. Despite being warned off by Prometheus, Church is clearly on the warpath, and one the new recruits is clearly going to suffer...

DC COMICS’ CHRISTOPHER CHANCE AKA HUMAN TARGET TEAMS UP WITH OLIVER — When Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman) captures and tortures one of Oliver’s new recruits, Oliver must turn to an old friend, Christopher Chance (guest star Wil Traval) AKA the Human Target, for help. Meanwhile, Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) worlds collide when Detective Malone (guest star Tyler Ritter) joins the ACU. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Sarah Tarkoff (#505).  Original airdate 11/2/2016.

Human Target was a good show. Fox totally mishandled it tho. Shocker, I know.

@Nightmare - it was a really good show. Great cast and the story was good. Wish it wasn't cancelled.

@Nightmare - I wish Mark Valley was coming back. Really liked him. He also probably would've made a good Captain America in his younger years.

They should just stop calling the series 'Arrow' and rename it 'Felicity Force'. Or 'Team Felicity'.

This is the third DC character with a failed show to get a second chance by showing
up on Arrow.

1.The Flash
2.Constantine
3.Human Target

Just come up with a reason to have Swamp Thing come to Star City to make it four.

@WarnerBrother - Arrow dosent have the budget for that but I would die if I see Swamp Thing on Flash or Legends

The Human Target was a good show. It sucked that Fox cancelled it.

I love it when actors play both sides of the DC/Marvel fence, don't you?
