With the Crisis nearly upon us, the next episode of Batwoman, which airs in two weeks, will serve as the midseason finale for season one and based on the promo, it's shaping up to be one helluva hour as Alice (Rachel Skarsten) makes her move on Jacob (Dougray Scott) and looks to exact her revenge against the Kane family.

With very little time left, it'll be up to Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) to find a way to save her father, Alice and the entirety of Gotham before it's too late - and, of course, before the Crisis begins.

"A Mad Tea-Party" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

AND THE AWARD GOES TO - Kate (Ruby Rose) and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) continue their sister/nemesis dance, while Alice and Mouse (guest star Sam Littlefield) construct their most evil plan yet. Mary (Nicole Kang) invites Kate to a special event honoring Catherine (Elizabeth Anweis) and Jacob (Dougray Scott) makes a decision that leaves Kate perplexed. Meagan Tandy and Camrus Johnson also star. Holly Dale directed the episode written by Nancy Kiu (#109). Original airdate 12/1/2019.

Kate Kane never planned to be Gotham's new vigilante. Three years after Batman mysteriously disappeared, Gotham is a city in despair. Without the Caped Crusader, the Gotham City Police Department was overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. Enter Jacob Kane and his military-grade Crows Private Security, which now protects the city with omnipresent firepower and militia. Years before, Jacob's first wife and daughter were killed in the crossfire of Gotham crime. He sent his only surviving daughter, Kate Kane, away from Gotham for her safety. After a dishonorable discharge from military school and years of brutal survival training, Kate returns home when the Alice in Wonderland gang targets her father and his security firm, by kidnapping his best Crow officer Sophie Moore. Although remarried to wealthy socialite Catherine Hamilton-Kane, who bankrolls the Crows, Jacob is still struggling with the family he lost, while keeping Kate -- the daughter he still has -- at a distance. But Kate is a woman who's done asking for permission. In order to help her family and her city, she'll have to become the one thing her father loathes -- a dark knight vigilante. With the help of her compassionate stepsister, Mary, and the crafty Luke Fox, the son of Wayne Enterprises' tech guru Lucius Fox, Kate Kane continues the legacy of her missing cousin, Bruce Wayne, as Batwoman. Still holding a flame for her ex-girlfriend, Sophie, Kate uses everything in her power to combat the dark machinations of the psychotic Alice, who's always somewhere slipping between sane and insane. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don't call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, she must first overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope.

Batwoman features:
Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/Batwoman
Rachel Skarsten as Alice
Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore
Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton
Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox
Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane
Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane

Batwoman returns with an all-new episode on December 1

Alice and Kate's drama is already boring. That she dies in a redemptive act, Kate cries and we go to the next villain or the return of Thomas Elliot.

Ehhh, an O.K.A.Y. episode. The drama between Kate and Sophie is poorly written and dumb. The stuff with Pennyworth was fine, she was cool. But for the most part, a forgettable episode that largely doesn't do much to the plot. As others are saying on here, this storyline with Alice is getting old and is now just making the motions rather than being something interesting.

There’s no way this show makes it past 2 seasons. I’m sorry but this just wasn’t that interesting in the first place and now it’s getting less interesting. Batman disappears and all they want to talk about is two sisters relationships? I want to know why the Batman is gone not what the latest drama is between Alice and Kate. I know it’s the CW and they love their drama, but this is overkill.

So if Mouse was Jacob the entire episode, what was the point of the whole subplot with Sophie telling Jacob? Mouse already knew, so it added jack shit to the episode. Something I've also been wondering is what's the point of the wig? Yeah, she had red hair in the comic, but the hair doesn't really do anything to hide her identity since her real hair is so short the cowl should be able to cover it. Also, how convenient that we just happened to run into another lesbian for Kate. Anyone finds it really curious how every single child of a straight hero is gay? William is gay, Flash's kid is gay, and now Pennyworth. If they keep that up, there won't be any life left on earth after Crisis regardless of who wins.
