BATWOMAN Stills Feature First Looks At Gabriel Mann As Hush And Rachel Matthews As Magpie

Some new promo stills for the upcoming third and fourth episodes of Batwoman have been released, and they give us a first glimpse of a pair new villains: Tommy "Hush" Elliot and Margaret Pye, aka Magpie.

We found out back at SDCC that Hush would be making an appearance in The CW's Batwoman series, and now we have our first look at the character (sans bandages) along with another villain that'll be keeping Gotham's new Caped Crusader busy, Magpie.

This small-screen take on Tommy Elliot (Revenge alum Gabriel Mann) is described as a childhood friend of Kate’s AWOL cousin, Bruce Wayne, who grew up to become a real estate mogul boasting easy charm and a friendly smile. "And yet Tommy — who in DC Comics lore adopts the mantle Hush — harbors a deadly chip on his shoulder, one which will put Kate’s secret identity at risk."

Whether he'll actually don the Hush mantle at some point remains to be seen, but the character will guest-star in episode 3.

Episode 4, meanwhile, will see the debut of Rachel Matthews (Happy Death Day) as Magpie, "an extremely intelligent and deft thief who, as her code name suggests, is drawn to shiny things and thus has a penchant for pickpocketing the rich. Oh, but Magpie has bigger plans for those who take their wealth for granted."

Hush's actor looks very non-threatening there as Tommy Elliot, that could work on his favour to later reveal his true, twisted colors. Hope they go full with the Hush costume, they killed it with Batwoman's so they can do it. Maybe he'll be a recurring character.

"Deadly chip on his shoulder, can put in danger Kate's identity". Maybe he already knows Bruce was Batman and is easily tying the dots with Kate? Hush was quite smart in the comics so maybe that is what is going on.

Magpie, is the first time I hear about this villian tbh. Looks close to the comics I believe.

Using the most Bruce Wayne centric villain in a Batwoman show. Makes sense.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - they could have him show up at some point with his face changed, posing as Bruce Wayne and focus on Kate discovering his real identity and outing him

I hope people don't watch this show. It looks so dumb.

Hope they eventually use Renee Montoya and turn her into the Question. Also how about getting an actual latina to play her

I don't see Gabriel Mann as Tommy Elliot. For a TV show, I prefer someone like JR Bourne.

If not for COIE, i wouldn't even bother with this tv series.
Gotham haters will probably eat up this cringe-show tho.

Not watching the show but I'm loving the look of Arrowverse Gotham. It's clearly based on TDK Trilogy version of the city.

Okay I'm usually PRETTY forgiving when it comes to CW shows but after the trailer first dropped my excitement for this show just died. I'll definitely still give it a chance but god my expectations are pretty low lol

Those streets look like downtown Chicago where they filmed The Dark Knight.
