@Nomis

I actually never watched Gotham, but since you liked so much maybe I give it a chance.

The season premiere was a definite step up and I hope Thomas Wayne actually was the first Batman in this universe unless DC's Flash movie turns out to be Flashpoint.

Tonight's episode was a promising start to a new season! It was dark, funny, sad, and intense. I laughed out loud when Zaardon (the wannabe super-villain) "attacked" Gotham.

Normally I would have a problem with the series kicking Gordon off the force for the second time and then re-instating him again, but the series made it a point that as long as Gillian B. Loeb is commissioner, Gordon will keep getting kicked off the force.

In case you missed the Easter Eggs, many of the Arkham inmates were familiar characters. The obvious ones are Barbara Kean, Jerome Valeska (who may or may not become the Joker), and Richard Sionis (a killer-of-the-week from Season 1).

The big dumb bald inmate is a character from the comics known as Amygdala. The inmate with the curly hair is an original character known as Robert Greenwood, a cannibalistic serial killer. The woman with the whip is the show's version of Tigress. Her brother is Theo Galavan, an original character who is replacing Fish Mooney as the big bad this season.

Tonight's episode was Crazy! Insane! Outlandish! Cartoonish! Campy! Over the Top! And extremely disrespectful to Batman's source material!

... AND I LOVED IT!!!

Ok who are you and what have you done to the real @Nomis ? Look I understand that Romo and Dez is out for a while and all you have is Whedon. Hell Whedon was a Browns QB so I know what it's like for him to be your QB and he isn't very good.

Now that Richard Sionis is dead, I predict that Charles Sionis (Black Mask's father) will take over the Sionis company.

The only remotely interesting thing going on is the Bruce story line. Otherwise this show is a dumpster fire of rediclulousness. This show could have been something special and they turned it into a camp fest. I'll give it 2 more weeks to improve or I'm out.

Solid episode. Great setup for Season 2. Bring on the rest of the season! This is not even a guilty pleasure, one of my favourite CBTV shows right now.

Other than the BatCave and his father's note...you didn't miss much. Bruce did however teach the "Do bad to do good" speech to Grodon.

Love Gotham, I really enjoyed the episode, a couple great speeches, this Penguin is one of the best villains I've ever seen on television, I'm really starting to enjoy Jerome too, but I was a little surprised when a guy I went to high school with showed up in what I guess is a reoccurring role.
