New GOTHAM Featurette Released; "The Worlds Of Gotham"

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker. GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

The featurette above contains a short interview with showrunner Bruno Heller, and some brief new scenes featuring characters like Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Edward Nygma/The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith), Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Robin Taylor), Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) and Ivy Pepper/Poison Ivy (Clare Foley). What do you guys think about this take on some of the most famous DC Comics characters? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section below and stay tuned for more Gotham updates!

Every day I get a little more hope that this will be good, then some form of promotion is released and that familiar sense of disappointment creeps back in.

The only redeeming factor about this show for me is the pilots director, loved Dredd, everything I see about this show makes me think it's not going to be as awesome as I thought it was when first announced.

Looks good to me. FOX seems to be redeeming themselves with shows like "The Following," "24: Live Another Day" and one of my favorites, "Gang Related." I think "Gotham" will surprise viewers.

Great, another TV prequel show. Maybe in 10 years we'll see Wayne in a ridiculous CGI Batman suit..

There's only so much you can do with Batman on network tv. You can't have a Batman show on network tv. The budget requires too much. Arrow is a poor man's Batman so he can get away with being on the CW and still have a decent show. Batman would have to be premium tv. So, I can't knock them for doing a prequel but I would've loved to have a prequel where it's just Bruce training
