Last night's episode began with a fan-pleasing death and ended with a devastating one as Amaya was killed by Captain Cold, just moments before she could reset reality to the way it should be.

Next week, with the
Legends left reeling, the team must head back to 1916 and break the one cardinal rule of time travel, which probably has something to do with them joining forces with their past selves to take down the Legion of Doom once and for all.

Check out the new extended promo for the season finale, titled "Aruba," below:

"Aruba" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

SEASON FINALE - As the Legends are about to take off for their next destination, a massive timequake rocks the ship. In order to try and fix what has happened, they are forced to break the one cardinal rule of time travel. But if they are able to destroy the spear, they will face the ultimate consequence. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#217). Original airdate 4/4/2017.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Arthur Darvil as Captain Rip Hunter
Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave

The Amaya death shocked me. They got me with the wave rider at the end, they got me good

Felicity as a superhero was the worst thing I ever saw. Then Sara broke her neck...and that was the best thing l ever saw. Then we got to see the Hall of Doom, and that was awesome. What a roller coaster episode.

@LordHarryLatts - it was probably intentional, a little joke at the people who thought they would do something as stupid as turn Felicity into the new Black Canary. Like that could only happen in a shitty world created by the Legion Of Doom.

wonder if Amaya will come back from the dead. I guess she may already have a daughter, and her never returning could be what leads to her village being destroyed.

@dracula - I don't think her daughter has been born yet because after Ray told Nick that he can't be getting his groove on with her because she has a destiny and has to go on to have a daughter who will have the president day Vixen. And also remember as Ray said she is the only member on the team who can still affect the normal timeline if something happens to her, since she just hopped on the waive rider after Hour man died.

wonder who will join the team next season, I wonder how long it will be before we get a full team made up of characters introduced in Legends Of Tomorrow.

Hope Captain Cold doesn't die again, I think they can make him a big enough threat for him to be a big bad on The Flash, and form the Rogues. In Season One episode Rogue Time, Captain Cold, Heat Wave and Golden Glider were trying to get rid of the competition in Central City, so What if Captain Cold does that and organizes the Meta Humans, they can bring back villains who haven't appeared for a while for one or two appearances and give villains like Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master, Golden Glider and Heat Wave multiple appearances through out the season, and pair some villains together

Thawne has to have his own show. Just an engaging character. Last shot of waverider had me laughing as much as when Joe offered Grodd a banana in S1

Theory: Next season will be one big crossover season for the three main Flarrow-verse shows. We know that Black Canary is going to be a big part about next season. We also know that the Rogues will play a bigger part in the next season of the Flash. What if the Legion of Doom expands even bigger, becoming a co-op with an inner circle? I could definitely see Merlyn and Dhark bringing in Adrian Chase to replace Thawne ...and maybe even a Vandal Savage return. Together they organize the DC TV villains like never before, having the heroes scrambling more than usual. It will all be one inter-connected story, but the shows will still be able to stand alone ...they'll just converge at the end. After the success of Heroes Vs. Aliens, how well the Legion of Doom turned out, and the multi-show contracts of this past season (I.E contracts to keep actors committed without "technically" being a regular on one show), I could definitely see them trying to pull something like this off with Arrow, Flash, and Legends.

This episode was actually good, ever since the future Star City episode. No cheese, or very little that it wasn't noticeable.

Also, Thawne just demonstrated how Flash vs. Arrow was utter nonsense, since Arrow won. The Dark Archer couldn't even defeat Thawne. He wasn't even stupid enough to try.

@FishyZombie - they should have a LOT - Dark with Sara, Constantine and maybe Merlin, Dhark and some others.

I haven't been watching Arrow long enough to hate Felicity, but for people who do, did you enjoy that? I was thinking they wrote that scene just to make haters laugh.

They are keeping pretty quiet about next season. I have a feeling the ending in the finale will have a really big reveal that they are trying to keep quiet. Because there has been literally no news about it. It would be great if they finally had a real Hawkman and Hawkgirl and did Thanagarian war. But I think that ship has passed.

The one thing that makes no sense to me is why didn't Reverse Flash bring his ancestor back from the dead. Because then there wouldn't be a reason the Black Flash wants him dead.
