LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Jax Returns In A New Photo From The Season Finale; Jes Macallan Upped To Series Regular
With Mallus on the loose, the Legends will need all the help they can get and luckily, the Monday's finale will see an old friend step back onto the Waverider. Plus, Jes Macallan will be back next season!
Monday's penultimate hour saw Mallus (John Noble) break out of captivity and next week's season finale will see the big bad villain wreak havoc in the wild wild west as the Legends do everything in their power to stop him. With the clock ticking down, the Legends will get some much-needed assistance from a friend as Jax (Franz Drameh) returns to lend them a hand. He'll join John Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) as two of the episode's very special guest stars.
On another note, Entertainment Weekly has learned that Sara (Caity Lotz) is going to have two exes aboard the Waverider next season as in addition to Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) has also been upped to a series regular next season. Executive producer Phil Klemmer expressed his excitement in a statement, and briefly teased where the show may take Ava's clone journey next season, “Her character arc was a bit of a slow burn this season, and yet each episode revealed a new facet of her character. She’s been alternately funny, poignant, engaging, endearing, and kick-ass this season — and yet I know for a fact that we haven’t hit all of Jes’s hidden gears as an actor. We are lucky to have a whole new season in which to find them. It’s not every actor who can find the emotional heart of a storyline that features John Constantine, a chicken, and a severed human foot. Thank God we found Jes Macallan.”

SEASON FINALE - The Legends plan to vanquish Mallus by using the totems doesn't go as planned, forcing Rip (guest star Arthur Darvill) to improvise. The team finds itself regrouping in the Wild West where they run into their old pal Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech). Sara (Caity Lotz) leaves Ray (Brandon Routh) in charge of watching Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), while she comes up with a new plan. Meanwhile, Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) is determined to find a way to use the totems to destroy Mallus. Dominic Purcell, Tala Ashe, Keiynan Lonsdale, Nick Zano and Franz Drameh also star. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer (#318). Original airdate 4/9/2018.

After defeating the Legion of Doom, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season. By revisiting a moment in time they’d already participated in, they’ve essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question and disband the team. Challenging the Time Bureau’s authority, they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.
