SARA MEETS SOMEONE SPECIAL; RAY AND KENDRA GROW CLOSER – The team tracks Savage (guest star Casper Crump) to a small town in Oregon during the 1950s. Upon arrival, they discover there have been a recent string of murders and they suspect Savage is involved. Professor Stein (Victor Garber) and Sara (Caity Lotz) go undercover at a psychiatric hospital, where Savage is working as a doctor, to find out his plan. While there, Sara meets a nurse named Lindsay (guest star Ali Liebert) and sparks fly. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) and Kendra (Ciara Renée) pretend to be a married couple to gain the neighborhood’s trust, but an interracial couple in the ‘50s isn’t something that goes unnoticed. Soon, Savage is at their door. Joe Dante directed the episode written by Sarah Nicole Jones & Cortney Norris (#108).

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

I was thrown off by how quick Kendra was to be all kissy with Ray but an episode ago (I believe Professor Stein said a week had passed) she wasn't interested.
That was weird.

Other than that I loved the Episode. I wasn't expecting Capt Cold and Heatwave to go downhill like that. Wonder how thats gonna play out since I love them both, even though Captain Cold is my favorite.

Not dead, just frozen. He'll probably get unfrozen in a future Flash episode.

I guess it's OK, but I feel like people mostly tune in to see a superhero team-up, and this was another episode vacant of heroes.
At least Ray was finally in the Atom suit again. But no Hawkgirl appearance (just kendra), no Firestorm, and no HAWKMAN! BRING HIM BACK! HE NEEDS TO BE THE STAR!
On the flip side, I've REALLY been enjoying Snart and Rory for the whole series. Hopefully we get Mick back sometime.

@tugboy - This "team" isn't the JLA, or the Avengers. Most of the time they're undercover. But, no less heroic.

Who the hell is Jay that he's in trouble? If you're referring to the other half of Firestorm his name is Jefferson "Jax"Jackson.

The acting is all over the place, the script seems pretty forced at times (esp w all the unnecessary love storylines), and somethings just dont make sense (like having an OP Firestorm or Atom and not using them at all...)

but I get it. i love this show and i dont know why but its just fun. There are definite standouts though, like Rip Hunter and Capt Cold. And well, this show makes me smile so thats all that matters.

@Himura - "like having an OP Firestorm or Atom and not using them at all...)"

Exactly. As soon as Professor Stein saved them, I was like, "Why the hell don't they just go all Firestorm on they're asses?" No excuse, man. And how is Ray not defeating the whole ship of Pirates? They stand no chance against that suit.

@Luminus - You see, Stein couldn't merge with Jax due to the real villain of the show, budgetary constraints!

@tugboy: You don't need to be in a superhero suit to be a hero. Is Batman only a hero for 5 hours of every day?
tugboy
tugboy - 3/4/2016, 11:45 AM
@GAThrawnIGF - Yes. The rest of the time he is the cowardly Bruce Wayne.

Heatwave is definitely just frozen until he's needed again... he was one of the shows best parts

I'm about done with this show. It's just a mess and the Palmer Hawkgirl hookup is just unnecessary and bizarre. Zero chemistry built between the two. Forced...forced...forced.

To all the naysayer of this show....give it a break! It's a fun show, goofy fun sometimes, but always fun. You know, the way comic books used to be, before they got all "adult".
