Powerless didn't get off to the start it was likely hoping for last night, pulling in just around 3.1 million viewers for its premiere episode with 1.1 million in the lucrative 18-49 demo, although those numbers do place it above nearly every DCTV show on the CW, save for The Flash. However, since CW shows do tend to operate on a different scale, it's a little bit uncertain how NBC must be reacting to the premiere numbers at the moment.
Next week's episode should be a better indicator of how the rest of the season may play out for the Powerless team and luckily, the second episode does seem a bit more promising with Emily Locke attempting to steer her team away from their Fantasy Super Hero League.

"WAYNE DREAM TEAM" 02/09/2017 (08:30PM - 09:00PM) (Thursday)
EMILY TRIES TO BALANCE MAKING FRIENDS AND BEING A BOSS - With a new product idea greenlit, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) tries to get her team inspired but can't seem to break through their obsession with Fantasy Super Hero League. Meanwhile, Van (Alan Tudyk) is on a mission to be included in the Wayne Dream Team photo. Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches also star. Jennie Pierson recurs.
In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.
