A Reunion Between Luthors In These Preview Images From The Next Episode Of SUPERGIRL

The CW has released a batch of preview images from the next episode of Supergirl, and as well as featuring a look at a wounded James Olsen, we see Metallo orchestrate a Luthor related prison breakout!

The promo for the next episode of Supergirl teased a reunion between Lex and Lena Luthor, but as many of you suggested at the time, it's actually her mother that the Girl of Steel's ally is visiting!

That probably means we shouldn't expect to see Lex here, though that was to be expected. We know that his war suit is going to make an appearance, but beyond that, it appears as if the focus will be on the return of Metallo and what happens to Lena when she's blamed for his unexpected return.

For more on what to expect from "Luthors", here's the officially released synopsis via The CW:

LENA IS ARRESTED — After Metallo (guest star Frederick Schmidt) breaks out of prison and frees Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong), the police blame Lena (guest star Katie McGrath) for his escape and arrest her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) refuses to believe her friend is guilty and fights to clear Lena’s name. Flashbacks reveal how Lena came to be a Luthor. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) introduces Maggie (Floriana Lima) to the gang. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode written by Robert Rovner and Cindy Lichtman.

Katie McGrath is gorgeous. And I hope Lena doesn't throw away all the things she's done up until now. Lillian will have to bring some really solid arguments to make her see her POV.

Looks like Jimmy will fall before Metallo in that preview judging by the pics, which is good for me. I think he needs to accumulate defeats to maybe realize that he is not fully cut for this vigilante lifestyle and start focusing on putting Catco against Cadmus's anti alien propaganda.

There could be some mind control involved in framing Lena. Unless Lillian's working with an alien shapeshifter which would make her a hypocrite, but all good in her mindset if it allows her to further her goals.

Glad to see Snapper in those and Ms. Tessmacher.

@NinnesMBC - Glad to see Miss Teschmacher back too. Did you catch the cameo of her on The Flash last week?

@WonderDog - The one during the Gypsy vs Vibe right? Yep, she was the sole witness of the fight in Jimmy's office. :)

Given he didn't appear in this week's Supergirl episode I can get why there was not any reference to that so I'm crossing fingers it will be brought up next Monday since he'll be there and there shall be Catco scenes.

Miss Tessmacher is funny and cute.
