With the current ongoing Hollywood Strike prepared to transition into the new calender year; made official by the SAG-AFTRA President, Fran Drescher, many of us will just have to sit back and wait until our most anticipated and favorite shows and movies will resume in their halted productions.

CW's Superman & Lois, is a series in particular which is currently being scrutinized by fans moving into its highly-anticipated fourth-season, after ending on a massive cliffhanger.

Not only has the show been announced to be making several budget cuts as far as shortening its cast and reducing its episodic-count, but Nexstar CEO Perry Sook, spoke on Deadline (full Interview here) stating the series will expect delays further moving into the 2024-year, as long as the strike continues.

"The farther the strike goes on, they get pushed further and further into 2024."

Among Superman & Lois, The CW also expects their other scripted series': All-American, All-American: Homecoming, and Walker, to be delayed as well, only until the Hollywood Strike can indicate a foreseeable conclusion, but that is of course unknown as to when it will meet its end at the moment.

After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books' famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever -- dealing with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.

Superman & Lois is an American superhero drama television series developed for The CW by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti, based on the DC Comics characters Superman and Lois Lane, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch star as the title characters Clark Kent / Superman, Earth's greatest superhero, and Lois Lane, a world-renowned journalist. Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin portray the couple's twin sons Jonathan and Jordan Kent, with Michael Bishop replacing the former in the third season. The series also stars Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tayler Buck, Sofia Hasmik, and Chad L. Coleman.

Well better than them trying to work around the strike

Shows trying to do that have ruined shows like Heroes before.

Well , yeah no shit haha.

Anyway , still a bit bummed that most of the main cast won’t be around much but I’m glad it’s gotten another season atleast (if it’s the final one then i hope they end it well).

Can’t wait regardless , it’s been so nice to have good live action Superman again imo.

Season rankings from favorite to least…

1. S1
2. S3
3. S2

The cast was actually good, shame they gutted it.

I loved the first 2 seasons. Waited till season 3 dropped on Max and honestly have been struggling to get hooked back in. I'm not gonna lie, I really miss original Jonathan. Like, a lot. The chemistry of the family feels somehow incomplete without him. No hate on the new Jon, he just is a totally different character I have zero attachment to, but I loved Jon 1 and Jordans relationship like they were really brothers. It was maybe my favorite new element of the show. Now I just don't connect with the family as much.

I'm on episode 3 and I'm just.... I can't get myself to click play.

@TheVandalore - I felt exactly the same when I started S3. By the end of it, I’d forgotten old Johnathan existed. New guy really finds his footing, I’d say try and get through the initial growing pains!

@CerealKiller1 - hm. Okay. I may give it another go.

@TheVandalore - Damn - I was just about to ask how it turned out in S3.

S1 was such a [frick]ing blown your mind/better than I ever expected miracle that I wondered if they could maintain.

@TheVandalore - There's a specific episode dealing with Sarah's sister (who's acting is AWFUL, but she's just a kid) that really puts him in the spotlight for him to grow on you.

@TheVandalore - Oh yeah, season 3 gets much much better and last few episodes are a blast! Slow start of the season for sure and change in the cast also has an affect but it's worth going through it.

I wouldn't call that "devastating". It's delayed because of the strike just like everything else lol.

This actually makes sense. While it had a larger view count than batwoman or gotham knights, it's budget was too high. So really it's actually about as much of a failure.

But this is the difference we need to consider. Just because superman and lois season 3 was considered a failure doesn't mean it didn't show value. Hence why out of the three shows I mentioned, superman and lois is the one that is getting more seasons

"Devastating"? I mean, I know these article titles usually exaggerate and even sometimes lie, but this is drama queen level shit.
