SUPERMAN & LOIS Gets A 90-Minute Premiere On The CW; THE FLASH's Return Delayed

Superman & Lois will dominate The CW when it premieres with a special, feature-length premiere and half-hour special. Unfortunately, good news for fans of the Man of Steel is bad news for The Flash fans!

The CW has confirmed, via Deadline, that Superman & Lois will premiere on Tuesday, February 23, with a 90-minute premiere. That kicks off at 8pm ET/PT, and will be followed by a 30-minute special, Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope, at 9.30pm ET/PT.

The special will feature sneak peeks and interviews with cast of the new series, as well as special guests discussing the legacy of the Man of Steel. Unfortunately, for fans of The Flash, this focus on Superman & Lois means the season 7 premiere of that popular series has been pushed to Tuesday, March 2 at 9pm ET/PT.

Written by Todd Helbing and produced by Greg Berlanti, Superman & Lois is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and revolves around the world’s most famous Super Hero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent, played by Tyler Hoechlin, and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane, played by Elizabeth Tulloch, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.

There's a lot of excitement surrounding Superman & Lois' debut on The CW, particularly as it marks the hero's long overdue return to television on a regular basis.

We haven't seen much big screen movement with the hero, and while he will be part of the Justice League Snyder Cut, it remains unclear whether Henry Cavill has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. to continue playing Kal-El. With that in mind, it's down to Hoechlin to redefine Superman for the time being.
