At long last, Superman & Lois is finally back on the air and the premiere didn't disappoint as we caught up with the Kent family and their trusted allies, before all hell broke loose and the Man of Steel found himself up against a handful of extremely dangerous villains.
In the show's timeline, only about a month has passed since Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) built the new Fortress of Solitude, but pretty much everyone has seen important growth in their respective lives, but, as always, darkness is looming right around the corner as Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) begins her investigation into Bruno Mannheim (Chad L. Coleman).
However, before she can get too deep, she learns that she might be pregnant and that's at the top of her mind for the rest of the hour. Elsewhere, during a summer cookout, Atom-Man (Paul Lazenby) attacks Metropolis, which results in Superman rushing to action, and shockingly, things don't go his way initially until an unnamed assassin takes out the evildoer. Clark isn't even able to track him down before another villain - Onomatopoeia - attacks and confuses the Last Son of Krypton before making an escape with Atom-Man's corpse.
In the morning, we learn that Lois isn't actually pregnant, but is instead experiencing some unexplained health symptoms that will require further testing. And finally, Bruno Mannheim makes an appearance, as he and Onomatopoeia resurrect Atom-Man, and plot something nefarious.
Next week, Clark and Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) do their best to comfort Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) as she tries to uncover what's going on with her. Meanwhile, Lana (Emmanuelle Chirqui) gets a distressing phone call, and finally, Jordan (Alex Garfin) and Sarah (Inde Navarette) continue their awkward dance into the friend zone.
